  1. We just had our interview last Nov. 24 and got approved. The age gap was never brought up and neither the length of time that we have been seeing each other. so to all those who are on the same boat, it is highly recommended to have your fiance at the interview. It'll help you calm down and be confident on the interview. Thank you to all those who helped. Godbless you all.

One question though, our visa status says it's READY (for interview) and it got updated on Nov. 25, and no changes til now. This is normal right? No additional documents was asked. Thank you☺

Congrat's.. Age gap was never brought up with ours as well. I did attend the interview and they interviewed us seperately, asked me some questions about my divorce and real estate. All is good!

  2. I'll probably get negative response for this, but me thinks/perceive that some folks like to brag about how big their age gaps are as if its some type of accomplishment, then cover it up with its just a number.

Wife was 18 and I was 41, 23 years difference. It wasn't enough so next time I'm shooting for 40 years difference!

  3. Received another Biometrics appointment letter after the date of the appointment. Drove down there the same day and walked in. He understood we missed two appointments due to late mail, but wasn't going to let us in until the next day. Then he seen we drove 30 minutes and we were unavailable the following day so he let us go in. Biometrics done on 9/7/2015. A little late posting as we moved.

One approved already, awesome. Good luck everyone

  4. Thanks for all of the feedback, I will be sending it tomorrow(2 days late). I will surely have an explanation for the late sending. And its funny how a personal opinion ran right to deporting her???? Well if that's worst case scenario, sitting on the beach in the Philippines waiting for some paperwork to clear immigration sounds perfect to me!! I will update my findings. And yes, probably not going to drive it to the California Service Center.

  5. I flew EVA air with a 4 hour layover in Taipei and it was tough. Good airline and nice airport, but the 4 hour wait seemed forever. Double that would drive me crazy. Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend it.

I have done the same flight and I agree. Decent airline and nice airport. I'm just not into long layovers.

  6. I agree on both arguments. I would always match the passport name when purchasing a ticket. But, my wife is listed on my travel benefits with her married name which is the same name as the green card name. This name does not match her philippines passport name. She has to use her married name according to company policy as the name on her ticket. She has traveled back and forth 6 times like this and has had no issues. She always has to show her marriage license and green card as well.

I would just conclude it's a free for all.....

  7. Married almost 1 1/2 years and together for 3 1/2 years. Everything is great.. I'm back from our second visit to see her family and she is coming home Friday. Lucky girl missed the brutal cold snap we had here in MN..

We have our arguements but we get over them very fast and typically its because of misunderstanding language or a cultural difference. Occasionally she will drink and we will go at it a bit because filipina's can't hold their booze, hahaba but all is great and working out better then I had planned. To add, we had lived together in the Phils for 1 year so I knew what I was getting into and I love it...

    Good luck to all

  8. Thanks guys/gals.. I haven't looked at that yet. Probably should start. We have been working on BC and I.D's for passport and its a battle. Correct spellings, birthdates don't really mean much in the province on a little Island..

  9. My wife has been here almost 1 1/2 years and we are planning on doing it right away. One reason for is easier travel for us all over.

Question; isn't it required for my wife to get citizenship in order to get her mother over?

  10. This will be our second Christmas together in the states. My wife has adjusted very well and enjoying her life here in Minnesota. It has been one of my most stressful tests in life, but I would never change it. What a great adventure and the best yet to come.

Good luck to everyone in the process and remember to hold those loved ones tight. Happy Holidays to all..

  11. Oh Thanks for clearing that up.Yes I'm aware of that form already but I thought I would still need to bring one of my parents with me' with the form to CFO seminar. Now it's clear that just get

the form and no need to bring parents.'Thanks again.

You don't need to bring your parents. Just bring the advice forn notarized. My wife was 18 and had her concent form. Her mother went with to the CFO for support and they wouldn't allow her in. Sat outside for 4 hours. She had memorized everything and had copies of everything. What they got her on was they wanted a name and phone number of a friend in her province. She didn't bring her phone because thought it was the same like at tge embassy. Also, she disn't have my home telephone number of a landline where we would be living in the U.S.. So she had to make another trip and supply both numbers. We don't have a landline so told her to give my cell number..

Their game is to find something you don't have and think its great if you have to make another trip. Also, i was pleasured with questions, from

my now wife, about Swingers and if I knew any in the U.S... Because they told a girl going to a European country that it is full of Swingers and she needs to be very careful. What a joke!!!
