My husband's grandmother passed away a week ago and they will funeralize her today in Nigeria. She lived in the village, I wish we could be there for our family at this difficult time, but all we can do is pray for them and offer our condolences. She lived to a long life, she was nearly 100 y/o.

My husband received the affidavit in the mail yesterday without any problems, now I have to plan another trip out of the country. I wonder if this process would have gone differently if my husband was presently in Nigeria. He and I have been wondering the same thing.

It's been 1 yr, 5mos, 3wks and 4days since I have physically seen or touched my husband. I miss him and also feel the need to take another trip out of the country, especially before he returns to the embassy with the needed document.I will be so happy when all this distance becomes a thing of the past!

My husband is Ibo and speaks Igbo so his dialect is quite different from mine.Imagine him singing "Step In The Name Of Love" by R. Kelly. I can truly say that "true love" surpasses anything! My honey was singing up something. Lol!

Patience is definitely a virtue....

Sunday service was great today and my pastor definitely brought the WORD and it was just what I needed to hear. I am ready for the world and I know Solomon and I are going to be okay. There is nothing too hard for God!

Well vj friends, my husband has to go back to the embassy and present a sworn affidavit of our relationship, proposal, marriage, etc. Even after all the proof, joint accounts, chat logs, phone records, financial records, etc. He said that there were 3 others that received the same request. I am so ready to see him until I am restless.

In the midst of my husband and I transitioning to bigger and better things, meaning, we are awaiting our interview date and I am trying to relocate about two hours away and I have 2 two job prospects lined up with very positive reactions from both AND now I have received a notice in the mail to sworn in as a grand juror! Talk about the interuption of everything, but I refuse to see this as a stumbling block!

Waiting PATIENTLY on the interview date! Woohoo!!!!

My wonderful sister-in-law was able to get my husband's birth certificate today and thanks be to God and for giving her the ability to get this task accomplished. I thought it was going to be difficult since she is so far from Lagos but she did not have to travel far at all! God's timing is everything!!!!!

I am getting slightly perturbed because I am ready to be with the man I love. If anyone asks me if the stress of this long process worth all the stress then I will say "yes and yes"...Yes to the stress and yes to the process!!! HE is definitely worth it all and absolutely worth the wait!!!! We have come too far to get tired now!

Why is it that you can't send a package to your spouse in another country without the risk of them never receiving it when it gets there? I sent my husband some things that I had bought for him simply because he adores them and his feelings were so hurt because he never received his items. African men are so appreciative of even the smallest things and don't hesitate to express it. Lol...we are just perfect for each other!

My husband is truly my bestfriend!!! We can talked about everything and anything and it doesn't matter how many hours we talk as soon as we hang up, I miss him all over again. We pray each day that this process will soon be something to talk about in past tense. All the lost sleep from the late night and early morning conversations are so worth it!
