  1. Take a look at my timeline, this should give you an idea of how long things take in a smooth case. Now if your case is NOT smooth, it can take longer and results can be different for 10 different people, even if filed at the exact time and date, no issues and a smooth case.

By smooth I mean no RFE, goofy situations, or foreseeable problems. If you and your fiance are legit (no interview issues) and you do things right the first time, the time between NOA1 and NOA2 can seem like forever. After that, it is boom, boom, boom, welcome to the USA! Good luck and keep us posted!

  2. I only filed the i-485, nothing else, so they should move quick with my case, eh? :P

.....i also, believe it or not, completely forgot to mention, here on this forum and to uscis, that a few years ago i worked in texas as a chef, on a work visa, for about two years..... Ooops

I wonder if that will be an issue....

    Hey there,

Not to worry you, but it just might cause issues. You should always be 100% honest and tell them everything, even if you think it could hurt your case. Just keep in mind, they are going to find out eventually anyhow and they will likely want to know why you failed to tell them that initially. Better to just be upfront from the start so have no issues to worry about.

I understand you forgot about it, even if that is sort of hard to believe. But they specifically ask for this kind of information on the application. Keep us posted but hopefully you just have some explaining to do.

  3. Hey everyone, my timeline says it all. USCIS cashed the check last Tuesday, sent her an email on Friday about the NOA papers for all 3, and just got the NOA papers today.

To all those stressing out, do not! Just like the excruciating wait between the NOA1 and NOA2 for the fiance visa, it seems like forever. In the meantime you have time to spend time together and plan the job search and everything else. I used to check the USCIS website 2, 3, 4 times a day during the fiance visa. Just keep checking on it without being a nuisance to them and if there is an issue, they will let you know. Only if you feel there is going to be a problem with your situation or you feel it has been too long since things should have happened should you worry about it.

  4. Hi there, I am finally filling all my paperwork out for the I-129 (yay!) and I want to do it perfect the first time. I am stuck on the G-325A. I have lived and worked a lot of places in the last five years and they do not all fit on the form. For people who have experienced this, would it look neater if I attached a separate document for each of my employment and residence history and put (see attachment) in the lines provided or do I fill in what I can and attach the rest. Or dos it matter at all?

    Hi there,

You can do exactly what I did. In the box of the G-325A where it has you list your employers, just put "Please see attached: "G325A supplement: Employment history for the last 5 years".

Make a Word document and put the title on that document exactly what you put in the " ".

    Then (for example):

    ABC Company 123 E. 12th Street, Chicago, IL 60411

Vice President of Marketing 12/2015 to Present

    Unemployed 10/2015 to 12/2015

123 Company 2345 Karlov St., Chicago, IL 60411

    Assistant Manager 09/2013 to 10/2015

..and so on. Leave no gaps, list times you were unemployed, and you just have to list the month and year of when you started and left there. Call your former employers if you need to get the exact dates, I had to because I was in the same situation. Only list the last 5 years and put it on your cover page that there is a supplement. Probably not necessary but better to overdo than not do enough. I hope this helps, I did it this way and had no problems at all.

Congrats on your journey and if you need any more help, let me know!

  5. You are so on the money with your answer to the OP.

I was at my wife's interview (USEM) and while she was being interviewed I overheard a conversation taking place with another CO and an applicant near where I was sitting. The CO was sharp. In a matter of two questions she was able to unearth that the applicant was lying about the fact that the "K2" was really hers, but her sisters (the sister was already in the USA). Long story short, she was dismissed and was not approved. It would be my guess she will never be able to be petitioned or seek a visa to USA and possibly they ruined this 9 year old boys opportunity to ever have a visa.

    I agree 1000%

Lying is not easy to do correctly, and though some beat the system, I would not intentionally lie or omit any information because you are just asking for denial and/or grief.

My fiance had the easiest interview in the world from both the Filipino and American consulate, the Filipino asked 4 questions and looked over our evidence of being together, the American asked 6 total questions and said my fiance was sweet. Know why? My fiance is genuine in her intentions, told all truths, and this made it so easy for her. She said she saw a couple of Filipinas crying after their interview, likely because they lied or did not have everything required.

In Greenbaum's example, if you are lying on your petition, you also have to face another reality...you can get deported if later on down the line they find out something you lied about (especially lying about identity.) But in any case, they are trained to detect fraud and even if the situation is "iffy", I would be upfront because that will go a longer way then outright lying to them about anything.

Some people are slick, but most are not as slick as they seem. Honesty is always best OP.

  6. Craziness strikes me.. Got approved at october 20. October 25 they delivered my passport and the pocket.

October 26 I found that my birthdate on my passport is incorrect. Monday I called embassy telling me to return it 2go and they will return it after one week.

    October 29 i returned it.

November 6 after one week, still no passport.

November 7 I've checked the form I filled up given by 2go just to find out that I wrote the incorrect passport number..

Will it affect the process of the passport at the embassy?

I don't know what to do. Can I go to my seminar to cfo on Monday, November 10 even without my passport?

Hmm, sounds like not a good scenario but I would be talking to 2Go and telling them of your situation. I would also call the Embassy and tell them what happend and see what they advise you to do.

You need your passport to attend the seminar so you would not be able to do it I believe, but please do the above.

  7. All the best. Florence had her interview in Manila on the 28th of Oct, but we are still waiting for her passport. Any one has a clue why could it be so late, or what should we do to expedite it.

Yours has been 11 business days, they say 5-7 but sometimes they get held up for "administrative processing" not to mention delivery delays. I replied to you on another thread about this but it should come any day to you now, I hope you get it soon. My fiance was just approved yesterday and we are also waiting for her to get her visa, but it has only been 1 business day there now so far. I am also anxious to see when she gets hers.

  8. Congrats to you and your fiance as well. :))

Thank you very much and I wish you and yours the best of luck!

Congrats to both of you!! :dancing:

(you can HOPE she has her visa in 5-7 days, that is not a reality most times)

Thanks I appreciate it! I know but I am keeping the hope alive that she gets it within that time until I am shot down lol. True words though, sadly.

Hi there, did you call 2Go customer service? They should be able to let you know where it is. Sometime they are held back for "Administrative Processing". That is only 11 business days so it should not take much longer.

(Sorry, had to do that haha)

  10. Follow the process and you can be done very quickly. From the time we got our MNL # to when the visa was in hand was about 5 weeks.

It goes so fast once it reaches the NVC, it is the time between NOA1 and NOA2 that seems like forever! The Embassy received our application from the NVC on Monday and we already have a set interview date for the 12th of November (we had an option of setting an appointment for November 6th at earliest but we wanted at least 2 weeks for the medical results to come through to play it on the safer side) I expect her to be here before Thanksgiving...I was thinking mid December to January but I am glad I overestimated!

Unfortunately, the Visa fee and medical Exam fee just went up :protest: but it did not make it much more.

  11. RickJustice: To be honest, I am glad you found your love for Noni is true and decided to pursue the engagement and marriage. But being your interviewer, I would question your motives for petitioning another woman (and so quickly). It would be a big red flag to me and not an easy interview for your fiance'!

We ALL go through hardships in our long distance relationships. Me and my fiance have never split up and have barely had disagreements. We have had other Filipinas hit on me, guys hit on her "because she is not married yet", and it is naturally hard to love someone and be so far away from them and give them 100% attention. Yet we talk and spend time as much as we can and keep our love burning. I just know she is worth it beyond all, so I willing to wait for her as long as it takes.

Maybe you needed some time away from Noni to really see how you feel for her and the time helped you realize? But I am just being honest with your quick "other woman" petition...it might cause you some unneeded grief and make it more difficult.

No offense intended, and I am not judging, but are you sure you are ready for this? You petitioned another woman quickly and still had the petition for Noni. In any case, I wish you the best and keep us posted!

  12. My fiance is in the Philippines and it took 118 days to be approved from NOA1 to NOA2. No RFE and just when I thought it would take longer, I got a nice surprise! I am still waiting for the NOA2 hardcopy, but I got a text message at 10:25 PM on Thursday, September 25th that our status was updated and I logged in to see "Approved"! CSC is pretty efficient, you just have to be patient and never lose hope. Best wishes to all in our journey, I miss my fiance so much!

  13. I finally got my NOA2! I am waiting for the hardcopy, but what is strange is I got the message on my phone Thursday evening at 10:25 PM that it had been approved. Just when I thought it would be a while longer, they sure fooled me. June filer, CSC. They are working on them, do not lose hope. Just check if it seems like it is taking abnormally long (5+ months) by calling and speaking to a live person.

  14. It's funny that this thread specifically states CSC Approvals and the only replies you get are from butt hurt people at TSC.

    LOL

How is that funny? Not so funny when you want to be with your fiance and being forced to wait and wait for NOA2 while your application is stuck in a huge pile at the TSC! A pile that is months and months behind where it should be, TSC is processing December applications while CSC is already nearly in the middle of June!

While I am happy that I am at CSC, I do feel for those who are forced to wait thanks to TSC being way behind schedule.

I hope the quality of your posts go up, in the immediate future...

  15. THANK YOU VJ I would have not been able to do this process with out VJ!!!! My Fiance received his Visa Yesterday 7/12!

    I filed petition 11/15/13

    It was received 11/19/13

    Interview 5/7/14

Interview result - AP (relationship was approved but more investigation needed to be done)

6/13 Fiance got letter to send passport (He took Domex capital that same day)

7/9 - 7ish AM visa changed from AP to Issued!

7/12 - Domex drop off Visa fiance's house!!!

YAY I will be with the love of my life this week!!!!

    Till death do us apart!

Congratulations! I bet you are not only happy, but seriously relieved. Goodluck to both of you and I am glad to see this. I know how I would feel in your situation, I am still waiting for NOA2.

  16. I don't see any thing wrong with whining, true it will not make the petition get approved faster, but it might help some people get over the stress by venting. That is the reason why we have this site isn't it? Not only to get a huge amount of useful information, but to help each other during these difficult time in our lives. Everyone deals with stress in his or her own way, and its not for any of us to judge someone on how they deal with this very difficult process. Lets just support one another and understand that we are all individuals. So complain, complain, complain, if it helps you with dealing with this process by all means complain!!!

My fiancé is Filipina, and believe me I have to deal with her crying all the time because we miss each other soooo much, I just stay positive and make her feel loved and secured. I do all in my power to assure her that know matter how long this process takes, I will wait for her until the end of time. We are all in this process because we found that special someone far far away, and we knew from the start that the person you fell so deeply in love with was the one you have been searching for your whole life. So every second away from your true love feels like and eternity. We know it can take 5,6,7,8, or even 9 months for this whole thing to over with, but knowing all of that does not make it any easier to deal with. True its a small potion of our lives together, but its still a part of our lives we could never get back. Life is very short and knowing that, is the real reason we want this process to be over with quickly. I am happier for those who received their NOA2 quickly, but I will be fooling my self if I did not wished, that it was us who got approved instead of those who got approved faster than we did.

I truly love this forum, because it helps to know that we are not alone in this process, and if I feel like complaining or venting, someone will understand and complain along with me!! Lets just support one another and in a few months time, we will be the ones encouraging and lifting the spirits of new VJ members, helping them deal with this difficult, but yet beautiful and amazing journey!!! Good luck to all!!!

This response got me because I am in the exact same boat, my fiance is in the Philippines and she also cries and tells me how hard it is to be apart, but she does a great job also of letting me know she is willing to wait no matter how long it takes. So I know exactly how you feel, plus what you said is true...it will not make the process go faster, but this is THE place for this. If we cannot speak our minds or feelings, then we should not be here.

But to say someone is "whining" is pretty rude when you are basically "whining" about what they said. I hate when people respond so condescending (no names) and act like someone is "whining" when they are just expressing their feelings and frustrations. We all are in the same boat, no matter where we are from or where our fiance is. A forum is a PLACE for discussion and speaking their feelings. If you have to reprimand people on here for that, it is quite sad and heartless. A common theme on the "anonymous internet" it seems.

It is indeed stupid how random things are. What makes petition A get chosen over petition B? How come petition A was approved when petition B has been there for 45 days longer? There should be more tracking allowed of your case. Being on "initial review" since June does not tell me much. Then you worry about delays, RFE's, problems, etc. This is a nerve-wracking process and all the while, you are apart from your fiance and worry about them too.

I just know my fiance is very worth it, worth what it takes to be with her and I am willing to wait. I just do not want to wait haha
