But the point is that can we trust Mr Oppenheim? He predicted in 2010 that F2A would be current by Feb 2011 but instead of being current, it retrogressed..

I'm not trying to discourage everyone here..I'm very optimistic since none of other categories have gone any interviews so we should be getting from the next week as NVC has said...

The simple matter of fact is that he too cannot predict the movement until the last day or so since so many agencies are involved!

May be he should start being an active member of VJ and start predicting his own predictions!!! :-)

I read somewhere on imminfo.com that there is a real mathematical formula to come up with the PD's. There was even a federal case to get the formula and they were not successfull! So I think this guy can only make educated predictions based on his experiences of 20 plus years!!!

I wonder if the 2.6 months (for F2A) is a typo and should be 2-6 months. It seems strange to have so specific a date instead of a range like the other categories. Also, wouldn't 2.5 months be the normal way to put it (as .6 of a month doesn't make sense.)

I'm pretty confident that it should be 2-6 months... but I guess we'll see soon.

AILA reports that at the AILA conference in Washington at the end of March, Mr. Oppenheim distributes visa movement prediction table to the attendants. The summary is as follows:

EB Visas: Movement from April 2012 Visa Bulletin

EB-1: Current

EB-2: China/India=Retrogress to 08/15/2007

EB-3: ROW=3-5 wks, China=Upto 6 wks, India=Upto 2 wks, Mexico+Philippines=Same as ROW

FB Visas: ROW Only - Movement from April 2012 Visa Bulletin

FB-1: 4-6 wks

FB-2A: 2.6 mos

FB-2B: 3-6 wks

FB-3: 3-6 wks

F-4: 3-5 wks

The simple fact is there is no point in worrying! We are only hurting ourselfs by worrying. Why are we doing such deep negative analysis when no one knows what's going to happen!

But I am sure there will be no retro for 2010. There s nothing drastic that has happened from the last retro!

If one cannot be optimistic please do not be negative and disappoint others hope! Just my two cents.... This forum is all about hope and if one loses hope then we have nothing...

Again, my prediction is Feb-10... The f2a category is a very volatile category... anything can happen.

If one looks at the past trends, the f2a category has moved back and forth almost 5 years in one year..

Let's all be positive, and hope that there is a huge jump in the coming bulletins..

Trust me when the NVC sends the AOS and DS-3032 forms then the PD is likely to be current in the next nine months or even earlier. I have seen that it has happened to my relatives and to me as well. I got my interview call in less than 6 months after I got my forms a couple of years ago..

Some people try to say that it's the NVC policy to make money and blah blah but it is not true. Only when right time comes then only NVC sends forms. Unless any retrogression happens, you get your interview letter within 9 months after getting those forms. They haven't sent forms to people with PD after June or July 2011 so that proves that they don't randomly send forms.

So if people with PD 2011 have started getting these forms, it is likely that F2A is gonna move forward fast in coming months.

I am not too sure about that... I got the DS-3032 etc.. forms around May-11. it's been 11 months wait.. My PD is Nov-10..

My fearless prediction will be feb 15, 2010

If youl try to see the graph in the uscis webpage it will tell you that the current applicants depleted, and the NVC are basing the jump of the VB to the current filers. Therefore we can expect another 3 months or more leap.

I had a dream yesterday that may PD's have moved to feb-10!!!! really....!!!

My PD is 27 Dec 2010, i think it will be current between Nov/Dec of this year(2012)

honestly, no one know's... unless you know the the wife of charles oppenheim personally (the chief visa officer)... and i doubt even he know's for sure!..

I have spoken and paid many immigration lawyers over here and they too cannot predict!! no matter how big their network database or anything about their clients....

It's simple even USCIS doesn't know or may be something else...

One of a very reputed lawyers who I paid 200 bucks just to get a consult (20 minute)... and i am not that rich! said that she has stopped looking at the VB predictions... she just add's years based on category to any predictions..

all we can do over here in this forum is to keep faith and sight tight!...

Ricardo is correct pd is current, you could have articulated your frustrations (we all have that with this process) in a different fashion rather than the expletives.. rule of thumb! when you drink - never ever drive a car and never comment on the internet! not that i am saying you did!!!... just an obscure thought :-)

Steve, I suspect that the majority of the 2010 filers are still waiting for their visas despite the fact that their priority dates were once current. I've been reading this forum since September 2009, and I don't remember a single 2010 F2A filer that actually got a visa in 2010. They were probably all stuck in USCIS at the time, and unless many of them have naturalized by now, they will still be in the queue ahead of us.

I think you are correct... Hopefully, we both are wrong and PD's move to nov-10 around sep-oct!

One thing that still baffles me is that H1'bs are better off in regards to their families.... their families can live, go to school etc in US.. and the new news is that maybe H4's may be able to work? #######??

having waited for 4-7 years or more, we being Green card holders are suckers.. and wait for another 3-5 years for citizenship... and then get out of this PD thingy!!... god forbid if you marry someone else from another country after your GC, you are screwed! nor they can get any fiance visa or something like that... and for sure they will be rejected for B1/B2 because they have filed for GC!... because of intent to migrate!!... but isn't the whole point of applying for GC is for intent to migrate??? does it make sense?

may be one should go back to H1B just to get their family and then apply again for GC!!... GC is just like H1B or probably worse... just an outsider? the only thing i see with GC is that you can switch jobs easily and make a little bit of more money if you want!!... and I thought that getting a GC i was in the system and had equal rights after 13 years of everything.. ALL BS...

but any politician should know that eventually every GC holders can become citizens;; and then why would I EVER vote for someone who has made us suffer without our families for years! surely our the population is too small to make any impact for this messed up system!
