I believe that they are mostly concerned about public communicable diseases such as tuberculoses, etc. Your back shouldn't be a problem. here is a link for you to get familiar with medical http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3745.html#_What_if_there_1

if her mother is US citizen or Legal permanent resident, then by all means yes

I think that you more likely than not will be getting an RFE for missing Letter of Intent from fiancé with his original signature. Actually, if I were you, I would tell him to mail it to you today/tomorrow so by the time (IF) RFE comes you are able to respond to it the same very day.

congratulations, Ouarda<3!!!

quote from another thread:
"REF info:
When responding to a Request for Evidence it is extremely important that you place the blue coversheet on the top of the response you send to us. The VSC receives thousands of pieces of correspondence each day, if the blue coversheet is not on the top of the response it will be placed in "general" correspondence and NOT sorted as a priority, which may delay your case. Ultimately, it could be sent to the file as supplemental information, not a response to a request."
I am sure you are aware of this but just in case...

Small update: we called NVC today first time since we got our NOA2 on July 25. They haven't received the case yet, told us to call back around 14-15 of August. Yeah, right! Gonna keep calling them first thing in the morning every single day until we get it!!

So my phone got messed up after it felt on water this morning. I wasn't able to go to an AT&T store before 8 pm to get another phone and as soon as the man handed me my new phone, I realized I got a new SMS: status update -----> NOA2!!!! Finally!! It is indeed a great feeling. I wasn't expecting it today. Good luck to all of you still waiting it may come when you least expect it!!!
congratulations!!!

very true guys , il do like that .take both collages and normal pics. there s no limit of number no? thank you queen A
I think most ppl would suggest you bringing a reasonable amount. Personally I will be comfortable with 15-20 plus collages, some ppl go up to 80 or more.. so it's really up to you to decide, but there def there is no official limit, just common sense.

What's the number for calling NVC and what to do after I have the case number?
Tel: (603) 334-0700

Is there something i am not doing?
Is this something to worry about or is this not updated until NOA2 is done?
Thanks
those were the exact questions I had been asking myself before finally getting NOA2 couple days ago. I talked about my worries to my fiancé and we decided that we were waiting until August 11th - our six month mark. Someone on this site speculated that it might be that we gotta count 5 months + 31 days from NOA1. We thought there was some sense to this explanation and until then there was nothing really we could do. So, until August 11th we were prepared to be waiting.. well, not patiently, but obediently. Speedy NOA2 to you guys, it's coming.

Congrats to Stargirl on the approval!
Congratulations to all those that got approved. My heart goes out to you guys who haven't been approved yet and I hope you will get approved soon with no RFEs. Goodluck
Congrats StarGirl!!
I will be keeping my fingers crossed for all our February group. It seems to me that it's just simply unfair that things at VSC slowed down just when it was time for them to get busy with our applications. But what's more important it will come for all of you. Just a little bit more patience and I don't know about you - but I am planning to through a BIG party when this process is over. This will be def a good reason for celebration. Here to all Feb being approved today and tomorrow!
-
I would take collages with me, but to be on the safe side, I would also print 15-20 standard pictures. Some of you together, some of you two and other people. Why to guess, if you can play it safe?

ConGraTuLaTions Wow your NOA1 was 3 days after mine. Hopefully I shall hear something by the end of the week.
Congratulations
CONGRATS!!!
Congratulations to everyone who has gotten approved ...
Yay! I have email alerts set up for all of the February VSC K-1 filers, so I raced over here as soon as I saw. I'm so happy for you!
congrats to those who got approved! at least you guys are...
thank you so much, guys!! I really-really wish all of you getting your approvals in next couple of days.
Before going to sleep last night, I checked USCIS website. There were no updates. I said to myself, "of course there is nothing. We are at VSC!!! get real girl.." and went to sleep. Only to be waken up in a little more than one hour by my fiancé's text message telling me that we were approved He said that he received the text message about approval at exactly 5pm EST.
I am keeping my fingers crossed for you all!

165 days and finally approved. On to the next stage!

just follow the instructions on that web site. I know, it's a little confusing and frustrating - I recently filled out an application for my mom's visa. My main problem was in the end. Once you paid the fees, apparently it takes a good while to get information processed. In my case it was like 2 days before I could actually schedule an appointment. Good luck with your effort. And one more thing. Once you enter passport info, it's impossible to change it, so be careful not to make any typos. I made one and had to contact embassy for them to change it - 2 more days thrown out of window.

You can try meeting on "neutral" territory - not USA, not Yemen - some other country. But you need to meet in order to apply for K-1. There are two exceptions that require a waiver:
1. If the requirement to meet would violate strict and long-established customs of your or your fiancé(e)’s foreign culture or social practice.
2. If you prove that the requirement to meet would result in extreme hardship to you.

as sad as it is, we are on day 155 as on today. I have to admit I am more disturbed than upset by the fact that some petitions from as late as the end of February and even early March have been already approved, and we still haven't heard a word. I am trying not to think that out petition could have been misplaced ((( That would totally suck!

We did it that way too, but now they will not do it by mail.
"great" news..
Urgent: Accidentally Opened Sealed Envelope, Mumbai Consulate
in India

another VJ member posted the same situation. This was in Moscow though. She opened her envelope, then realized her mistake, contacted embassy, they told her to come by. She received it back that same very day. She didn't even have to leave the embassy - just had to wait for staff to check the contents of envelope. Hope it will be the same for you!
