Hi vj'rs. I am getting frustrated about our case, especially getting my MNL # from NVC. I just said to my petitioner (husband) that our paper is 1 month today at the NVC. He told me that he can't call them yet 'cause he have to pay other bills too (house, water, etc) I understand that anyway. So here's is my question regarding this matter. Is there a mail from the NVC to send to my petitioner?
Hope somebody will enlighten my query. Thanks in advance.
God, please give us patience and continue to guide us. Let patience, understanding and respect stay in between us. Amen.

you do not need to wait those number of days specified. Just keep calling at least once everyday so you can catch when they enter your case and issue a number and then you forward your documents ASAP.
Thank you ndu26. I am preparing my DS-230 now but my hubby can't call the NVC now cause he still need money so whenever I get the case # he will ready to pay it right away. We have hard time now in cathing these paper work going especially in money.

88$ for Affidavit of Support, 404$ for Immigrant Visa Application, plus shipping cost to send your packages express to the NVC.
Thanks for these... Let say 500+ USD could be spend, that's not cheap.
Thank you again.

Congrats on NOA2!
You waited 205 days for NOA2 and you should have been studying the guides to find out what is next step.
Get all the forms together and signed.
Read LingChe's NVC shortcut guide
get ready to pay 88 dollars for I-864 and
404 dollars for DS-230
People are waiting 1 month to get a case number right now from NVC
Yes, I waited 205 days, that was a long days compared to you.. Wow! I can't believe that you got your approval in just 16 days??? and now you are almost done. Happy for you. Well, thanks for the info anyway. I already told it to my hubby this morning when he got home from work, and yeah, I read the Lingche's shortcut 3x to make sure and preparing my DS-230.
Thank you so much.

Would take 1 month or 3 weeks.. That's based on VJ members..

Hi everyone. It's me again. I just wanted to know how much $ did you spent during NVC process? We got approved last Jan18th. I have seen one of the member in VJ got their NVC case #, they are also June filers. Though, we know that we have to wait 3 to 4 weeks to call the NVC. So I wonder if we also have a case #. I told hubby to call the NVC to inquire about this. Is it possible to get ready all the docs they need from us like DS forms and etc?
Thanks so much.

DOn't worry sis, it will come unexpectedly.. Just don't lose hope. I know how you feel. God Bless
-
Yes they're right Eric.. You have to wait first. Relax and plan ahead. I am glad that you asked what to do next. I know VJ members will help you out

try to refer on here: http://www.visajourney.com/content/examples
also, G-325A can sign by your petitioner.

nothing is true, until you've read:
http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/EZGuideSpouse
So, read that nowish, then train up yer husband on what to do.
I read the link you shared Darnell and sent it to him.. He printed it. He asked me if I am mad and I said "no" but now I am getting mad.
-
OK.. My petitioner just got the NOA2 hard copy today. He sent me a copy of the mail. I asked him if they need something from him and he said it will come to the next mail.. He makes me frustrated, kind of annoying asnwer. Would that be true that they send you another mail and ask what they need from you?

According to your timeline the California Service Center approved your I-130 petition correct? If that is the case there is no need to submit an I-129f for a K3 visa. The next step is to wait for the NVC to assign a case number to your petition. There is a very good guide to the NVC process located here:

Congratulations on getting through the USCIS phase of your visa! Things should start moving faster now, so do what you can to be prepared so that when you are asked to submit certain documents/information that you are ready.

CR1/IR1
Marriage-based petitions for spouses of United States Citizens fall under the immigrant visa categories of IR1 (for couples married for more than two years) and CR1 (for couples married for less than two years).
K-3 Spouse Visa
The K-3 and K-4 Visas allow the Spouse and Spouse’s children (unmarried children under 21) enter the United States to await the approval of the I-130 petition by USCIS or the availability of an immigrant visa.
The K-3 Visa allows the spouse of a U.S. citizen, who is waiting abroad for an immigrant visa, and the (K-4 Visa) spouse’s children to enter the United States as nonimmigrants, re-unite with their family here, and then apply for immigrant status while in the country. It is one of several immigration benefit provisions created by the Legal Immigration Family Equity Act (LIFE Act).
Under this new nonimmigrant visa classification, spouses of U.S. citizens may be granted K-3 nonimmigrant status, and the spouse’s unmarried children (under 21 years of age) may be granted K-4 nonimmigrant status. Obtaining a K-3/4 visa is not required, however. Spouses of U.S. citizens and their children may skip applying for a K visa and directly obtain their immigrant visa abroad from the Department of State.
Thanks Wally Greene. We are probably in CR1 cause we're married less than 2 years now.
For how long does this process would take? Please don't mind if I ask.

Forget the consul for the moment.
Follow the I-130, and if there's an I-129F, follow the I-129F.
Watch what happens at NVC with the two casefiles.
as to 'how to know' - the USCitizen Petitioner will call into NVC about 25 days after the NOA-2 approval date, then inquire about the casefile status on both (if they exist) casefiles.
If the I-129F was not administratively closed at NVC, then there is some chance for a K-3 visa at the IV Unit in Manila.
OK. My husband, which is my petitioner, filed an I-130. So far we haven't get any mail from USCIS to submit an I-129f. He just followed the instructions in every NOA's. Well, we will find out once we get an info from NVC. Thank you so much Darnell. "Gong Xi Fa Cai"

Hi everyone. I just got confused. What is the differences of K3 in IR1 and CR1 by the way? I was reading the guides a while ago before I came here and post this confusing question. How do I know if we are in IR/CR or in K3 visa?.. My head want to explode in thinking about this. Does the consul will ask you about what visa did your petioner filed? Or NVC will provide which visa you are in? Thanks

Took 2 weeks in our case..

Scan the I-864EZ to Portable Document Format (PDF) and send it as an e-mail attachment to NVCElectronic@state.gov.

Nothing turns into anything. You are on a path to a spouse visa. That spouse visa is not "K3". It is CR1. Your timeline indicates your petitioner filed an I-130 petition. It has been approved, meaning you are now eligible to apply for a CR1 visa, not a K3 visa.
Hi pushbrk. Well thank you so much for this information.. I thought we are on K3 visa, cause IR, CR and K3 are almost the same. Maybe that is why they didn't ask us to file an I-129f. I will change my k3 into CR1 visa.
-
Just noticed the K-3. Oooppsss sorry wrong post info. Sorry about that.
It's ok dear.. No need to say sorry. C'mon cheer up
-
The next step related to any petition filed for a K3 visa is off a cliff to it's death. Fortunately, the I-130 will live on. Have your petitioner study the IR1/CR1 visa guide. You are NOT on a K3 visa path.
Think im Lost?
Does this k3 turns to IR1 or CR1 visa?
-
Wow Wally Greene, sucha big help for preparation. Thanks so much for that. Long process as I read those, hope it won't take long and we did not file an I-129f, they didn't ask to submit this form. Does my K3 turn to IR?
-
Congratulations. Good luck in your future!
HI Kelly C.. Thank you so much.

Hi VJ friends.. I am so happy when I got up this morning and checked our status.. The immigration approved our petition. It says that "For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State." Is it mean that it is my turn now? (the beneficiary to send docs, etc) or they need more from my petitioner, like biometrics, interviews or something? Are they going to collect another payment?
I am just so excited what will happen next. For now, I just can't wait and get more sleep thinking about this important thing.

Question about NVC case
in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
Posted
Hi again, it's a been a week since the last time I read all of the comments. Though am hurt what wolffsrain said, it is because there are some incident that happened unexpectedly. Like buying a used car, because his truck got broke when he hit a deer crossing. It's hard for him to drive a car cause its winter season, too may snow on the road. I tried email the NVC like what togetherforever said but still don't get any from them except the AUTO RESPONSE. Well, do they mail my husband that they got our approved petition or do they really send notification to my husband? I don't know how many months should we wait to get my case number if he wait for the letter/mail from NVC. I don't wAnt to lose hope but I am really tired of waiting. As for Darnell, No he doesn't recieve any email from NVC yet.
And please somebody send me a sample or pattern on how to email the NVC.
Thanks in advance.
Have a good day
