  1. Wow, I thought everyone had to send more evidence than that with their I-130 just to get out of USCIS...

To be honest, I was expecting RFEs, thank GOD I din't. After sending my I-130 I found the VisaJourney, so I got worried, when I read that people had sent tons of proof. Fortunately, the Instructions didn't say to send additional info. I will now. I don't want them to make a decision before going to the interview. At least they will see our faces and think twice  that's what I'm hoping.

  2. Everything was all right, but unfortunately got white slip ( 221g ) due to one document had some problem. I was asked to submit that doc to VFS office.

Thank you friends for your prayers! :)

Oh don't worry, you'll get your visa as soon as you submit that doc. Was that a Civil Document? Or Something else?

My wife's divorce decree had wrong last name for ex-husband. I mean, those gov office put my wife's maiden name in that. Due to that reason, they said, they need the court document relating to divorce decree, and other evidence related that indicates his actual last name. That was all they asked to submit.

Got it! You had already answered the question.

  3. really, interesting! i got to do the same. I am gonna have my wife verify her account online just to see if the money has been withdraw

Yes, the withdrawal was yesterday, the 13th.

I confirmed with my wife, NVC took the money as well, but the status is still in process, the informed not yet updated on the website. However i am so happy, yeee :dance:

Cool! Yes, they just have to update the website.

  4. Below is what the payment portal said about fees:

IMPORTANT: Any payment you make now requires 2-3 business days to complete and will have IN PROCESS status until then.

    • Sign into this case again after 2-3 business days to verify that the payment status has become PAID.

I am currently in 3 business day and until now nothing!

    Rujby,

I also paid the IV fee on Friday, I've been checking the py portal since and still In Process. Well today I checked my bank account and it has been paid. Once again I checked the Payment Portal no changes still "In Process". But I'm good to go, since they already took the money from my account. :-)

  5. Well, I dont know about HR Block. But here is my story:

I called IRS couple of months ago and talked to an agent for almost an hour. He asked me file for ITIN alongwith your 1040, which I did couple fo weeks ago.USE W-7, which will constitute all your SPOUSE's information except for "part-e", where you will write the US Citizen or LPR holder's name and SS#. That form w-7 will be signed by your spouse and will be sent to the address below along with your CURRENT YEAR's TAX RETURN (MUST !!!!)

    IRS ITIN OPERATIONS

    P.O.BOX #149342,

    Austin, TX- 787141-9342.

Besides filling in forn W-7 and 1040, you will also require a letter addressed by your spouse in Pakistan to IRS stating that HE/SHE is electing to be treated as RESIDENT ALIEN, only for Tax purposes. The document which IRS agent suggested me to send was passport photocopy of my SPOUSE's in Pakistan along with this packet.I sent following documents, in addition to my spouse's passport photocopy ( to be on the safeside):

1- Copy of our marriage certificate.

    2-Spouse's Birth certificate

3-Copy of National Identity card of my Spouse.

4-Copy of Driver's License of my spouse.

NOW, only exception to this is if you already FILED your 2011 INCOME TAX RETURN, then I dont think you will be able to get your SPOUSE an ITIN number this year. The reason is The first and foremost requirement of w-7 is you have to send W-7 along with your 1040 Return.

Thats how I did mine this year.Thats my humble opinion.

    Thanks

    NiSham

Hi, did you get your ITIN number yet? Did you send a notarized copy of the passport? Were any of these ID forms were notarized? Please let me know. Thank you.

  6. I know you said your TOTAL income was $8k in 2010, but is that the same number for your ADJUSTED GROSS income?

$56k is well over the poverty level (depending on your household size of course) and generally NVC takes your current year into effect, but your 2010 total income was low.

Savings don't really matter in your case IMO as you're making well over the poverty line (again, depending on your household size, but I'm going with the average of two). If you're going to be using savings for the AOS, then you can't use the I-864EZ, you'll have to use the I-864.

My adjusted gross income for 2010 $8,611. Household size will be 3 (including beneficiary). Do you think I should use my savings?

    Again, thank you lots.

Yup, EZ is only for income.

    Thank you.

  7. What about your Adjusted Gross Income? What's that amount for 2010 and 2011?

    Saylin,

For 2010 it was the $8,000 for 2011 is $56k -although I haven't filed them since I'm waiting for the ITIN. I also have savings but I don't know how much do I need to have. Do you have any Idea of how much we should have in savings? Aaaarrrghhh, I wasn't expecting this.

  8. Yikes! As I was reading the I-864EZ Instructions, I noticed that the "Total Income" should be the one entered on the form. Well, I had a business in 2007 and lost it, so I have a loss on my 2008 and was carried over to 2009 and 2010 leaving me with a Total Income of 8,000. :crying: Gosh! Is this not good? Should I start looking for a Joint-Sponsor? Technically my income is above the 125% poverty line, the loss from 2008 should not be counted, right?

What should I do? Should I write a statement narrating happened? :(

Ooops on my 2008 Tax Return and were carried over to the 2009 and 2010 Tax Returns.

  9. If you're sending tax transcripts for 2008 and 2009, then you do NOT need to include the W2s for them (unless you filed jointly with someone and need to show just YOUR income).

But since you're just submitted a tax return for 2010 (and not a tax transcript), then keep the W2 in the package as that's needed, as well as any other schedules if applicable.

Also, for the pay stubs, does yours have a YTD amount on it? If so, then you don't need to include 6 months worth and just the most recent with the YTD amount highlighted.

Other than that, it looks good good.gif

    GREAT! Thank you.

  10. For your timeline, go here: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=119303 and click on the link in number 2. It should work.

And if you want a signature below each post you make, here's how:

In the upper right of the page, where your little profile box is, click on 'Settings'. Then click on the 'Profile' tab and then the 'Change Signature' sub-tab. Input important dates (NOA1, NOA2, case number, etc) and hit the 'Save' button :)

    Saylin,

    Got it! Thank you.
