  1. Hi there..we are coming up on our 6mos as well, May 8th will be our 6mos, it's interesting that you mentioned the name check process...my husband is from ethiopia and so I'm wondering if that's what they are checking on? I'm a USC and my husband is the beneficiary, I've called our local congressman and his aid explained to us that the adjudication officer has our case and its just a matter of getting to ours, she called then informed me what the officer told her, so we are waiting and hoping to get an answer soon!! good luck to you on your wait for NOA2, RBM

    No, Ziatarik is asking about his visa. He already went through with all CSC, NVC, and currently his name is under FBI name check process.

    In your particular case, you just need to call CSC and create a service request about your petition. If it does not work for you then you may ask your congressman or senator to look into your matter.

    Yes, I am currently waiting. I hope I will get NOA2. God Willing.

  2. :crying: :crying: :crying:

    I just pulled all photocopies of my I-130 application, and while reviewing Item # 17 I found out that I had mistakenly wrote my spouse name instead of mine.

    Guys, I have just completed 5 month mark of waiting period and now I am seeing a big mistake of mine.

    What do you think?

    Will they(USCIS) notify my error in notice?

    Will they(USCIS) correct it for me?

    Should I call to service center and let them know about it?

    I am really feeling sad. :bonk:

  3. You may ask your petitioner to contact senator/congressman. It will either push your case or inform you the reason of delay. I think ISL embassy takes 6 month for whole name check process but it is not restricted to 6 month. Many cases take longer time and it depends on the frequent visits to foreign country(make name check process lengthy ), so there is no solid answer of your question.wacko.gif

  4. Can anyone explain first two conditions which highlighted in red color?

    You MUST use Form DS-260, Online Immigrant Visa Application, and Form DS-261, Choice of Address and Agent if:

    • The petition was approved in the U.S.; and
    • The application is being processed by the National Visa Center (NVC); and
    • The application is:
      • Family based (Form I-130 petition); or
      • Employment based (Form I-140 petition); or
      • For certain special immigrants (Form I-360 petition); or
      • For an immigrant entrepreneur (Form I-526 petition).

  5. I am searching something and found out that I864 EZ is short form of AOS.

    Did anyone of you use it?

    You may use Form I-864EZ IF ALL the following conditions apply:

    1. You are the person who filed or is filing the Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, for a relative being sponsored;

    2. The relative you are sponsoring is the only person listed on the Form I-130 petition;

    3. The income you are using to qualify is based entirely on your salary or pension and is shown on one or more Forms W-2 provided by your employer(s) or former employer(s).

    can you please explain third condition of the form.
