In birth certificate of my spouse everything is fine, but her father name is with different spelling? As many of you aware that in Pakistan it is quite common to spell name with different alphabets, because actual name is always written same in Urdu language but could be spelled differently in English. I think, it should not be problem because it is only father name which spelled differently. Please advice me.

please get with your nikkah khuwan. he will either paste white color on incorrect dob and write correct information. you also need the translation of your urdu nikkah nama. please submit both document otherwise you may get RFE.

I have submitted scanned copy of choice of agent form. I sent it at nvc iquirty email. How long NVC will take to respond me ?

Drop him, and dont worry about bar code sheet. It is always be same and basic purpose of that sheet is to identify your case number. so if your lawyer suggesting you that sheet will going to change then he just making you fool.

Sarah: I want to let you know that I also got corrupted pdf files from NVC. I also read couple of others posts and it looks like many other people are also the victim of that corrupt batch of pdf files. Anyways, today morning I called NVC and representative sent me both files.

for your kind information, I never attested my original documents/photocopies from foreign ministry. It is not required by USCIS/NVC.

Anything else remaning at my end please let me know if ther is any attestation left on my side, does this Union council attestation (registrar) on marriage certificate is the issuing authority like for birth certificate Karachi metropolitan is the issuing authority doesnt this work then did they say not attested from issuing authority.

Please guide me if anyone of you can...

I again repeat, union council and karachi metropolitan are 100% issuing authorities. You are good to go. But if you still have doubt you may also submit computerized marriage certificate and birth certificate from NADRA. It is just one more precautionary step.

Let them know that your birth certificate and nikkah nama are original.

I believe they had photocopies of your original docs therefore they are claiming for issuing authority. Just be on safe side, you can also submit NADRA's original birth certificate and marriage certificate.
