How they got to the 19k is a good question. It mostly comes down to the vaccination. The more you need, the more it cost. Everyone is given the price to include all the vaccinations. After you are interviewed is when it is determined how many you will need and the total price you will pay.

I meant June. Sorry. The medical is being done today. It's costing only 19,000 shilling in total. I have not tried to reschedule. I was waiting until the package arrived at the Embassy. Now I'll give them until Monday June 25th to get it into the computers. Besides, the medical won't be there until this Friday June 22nd.

This is too funny. We both got dates that are bad. I wonder how did that happen? I sent a email to the embassy with the appointment letter showing the date and asked if it's a good date and if we are allowed to rescheduled on the site or if they will do it. If I don't receive a reply in a few days I will make a call. Medical is setup for 19 Jun.

Once they process that is when things start to roll. Everything else is like clockwork. You should start geting all your papers in order so they can be sent. I'm a whole month behind because I was out of town working for 3 weeks and forgot the ds230. when I came back I mailed it in a rush and missed one date. so that took a week to get it turned in. So a whole month lost.

Thanks for the congrats. It's been a long time coming. Almost to that finish line. As for the NVC. All the addresses including email address that you gave to USCIS will be sent to the NVC. They will communicate by email to start the process. They will send email to beneficiary and petitioner. Once you get your case number you can send the ds3032 email. It saves a week at least of time.

I had planned to call on Thursday if I didn't receive any new emails. If you're over the 10 day area. I would call since you didn't get a checklist asking for any more information. They might not have a date but they can at least tell you CC. Do you know anything about the DOS? I see people calling them after they get a case complete.

Sounds like you're almost done too. After the NVC is over. I was thinking of Flying back over to Kenya. Don't know if I should wait until the interview stage is over or just go for the fun of it. It would be nice to fly back together. If only I knew before hand that the embassy would say approved. It would be so much easier.

She was concerned about having a American name in Kenya. It's harder at times to use because everyone wants a hand out when they see your name. But she agreed to change it after she saw how much it would cost to change here in America. Getting a new green card with a name change is not cheap. All her forms are in the new name and passport too.

After your DS-3032 is accepted. You can pay your visa fee of $230 and send in the DS-230 along with all the other papers. Oh yes my DS-230 was mailed on 9 May. The NVC received it on 11 May. Hoping to get a case complete email this week. The DS-230 needs to be original signed and not a copy.

You should get a auto response from NVC stating that your DS-3032 was received. Normally it's received within minutes. Did you use the right email address? "NVCINQUIRY@state.gov". Check everything again.

We did the DS-3032 by email and it worked fine. The email format on VJ is good. By the time I got the signed copy from Kenya. I was already accepted as the agent of my wife. The AOS is mailed. I had my tax transcripts ready from Feb.
