I received my NOA2 from CSC on May 9. After many, frustrating, continued "we don't have your receipt number in our system yet" replies, and after a month had gone by, the person on the other line finally said "send an e-mail to NVCresearch@state.gov with my inquiry and an attached scan of my NOA2. I did that on Friday (June 8). They just got back to me today (June 12) with this e-mail response...
Dear Sir/Madam:
Please be advised that the National Visa Center (NVC) contacted U.S.
Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) to locate your approved
petition. USCIS has informed the NVC, that your petition is en route to
the NVC. Once we have received your petition, the appropriate agent
will receive further instructions within 6 to 8 weeks.
Sincerely,
Jess

Don't know if this info. helps anyone, but just thought I'd contribute. Boy, is dealing with the Gov. frustrating (we pay their salaries, BTW, which I try not to dwell on too much, because it creates more frustration!).
Thanks

Yeah, but maybe like Bill, he didn't actually inhale!
Congratulations!

Congrats from here too, I know how good it feels!

It is taking a long time! Got my NOA2 on May 9. After many calls to NVC with no results
, sent an e-mail to NVCresearch.state.gov, and got this replay today (yeah!). So at least its "en route" to NVC.....my friend in the office here theorizes that it's being hand carried on foot by those little bitty guys on Men in Black, and they are stopping at a few bars along the way.....

Congrats!
I know how good it feels. Now I am waiting on NVC. Got my NOA2 on May 9 - 139 days, you beat me by a couple of days!

Hi goingslowly,
Your NOA1 trails my NOA1 by almost exactly two months (mine was Dec 22). Got my NOA2 on May 9 (139 days, which beat the 5 months by two weeks). Might not see your NOA2 before early July, based on that. Then add two months to the interview (maybe in UK it can happen faster?). Good Luck to you, but looks a lot like a September Visa approval.

HaHa - and put a good supply of chopsticks into the silverware drawer. Best Wishes - don't melt in Guangzhou!

If it was a simple DUI you can answer no, unless you've had 3 or more. And it isn't question 9.

I recieved my NOA2 on May 9. I started calling NVC after two weeks went by. This past Friday, June 8, I called and said that a month had gone by now, and they still had nothing to tell me. The person then gave me an e-mail address to send in a request about my case. The e-mail address is nvcresearch@state.gov., they said include a scan of my NOA2 notice, which I did. I did get an automated reply when I sent the e-mail, that they received my e-mail. So now I will see what that does for me. I'm hoping that they are just taking a month or more to get to all the new K1 cases right now. I remember that one of my earlier calls, they did say there was a large influx of cases from USCIS in May..... good luck to all of us waiting .... I almost feel like requesting the leaders of this community take out their wording about "Things move faster now, welcome to the Department of Stete" in the K1 Guide
.....about this stage...

I am going through the K1 Visa process. I got my NOA2 on May 9. I started calling every two to three days after 2 weeks. Finally, after I called NVC this past Friday (one month since my NOA2 at that point), they gave me an e-mail address for me to send a request that they please research why no case number yet.
Hopefully I find out Monday or Tuesday why no case number yet, or maybe I get one. Unless something unusual has happened to my package, looks like it's taking a month right now to get a K1 Visa case number after NOA2.
Oh, and Congrats on you NOA2 approval notice from me too!

I fly out of ORD all the time (live local). The international flight arrival terminal is separate location from the three domestic terminals. Customs lines can vary, depending on if you are unluckly and another international flight gets there at similar time. You can count on international flights being 747 or similar, so they dump 300+ people into the customs lines at once. I would leave 3.5 to 4 hours between flights if you have the choice, to avoid stress. That all being said, if you did miss your connection, Darnell is right, the airline would have mercy and book you on another connection for no charge (but possible big inconvience!). Good Luck to you!

Congrats!
My fiancee's POE will be ORD as well, but probably not until sometime in August. Good Luck!
-
Congrats!
What a sweet feeling after the long wait, ( we all know it!)

I got my NOA2 approval on May 9, and NVC still has not assigned me a case number either (so I am at almost a month waiting for my case number). The person on the phone said they recently fell behind in May, that there was a large influx of new cases from USCIS, and to keep calling them back. So hopefully you, and I, get that case number in a few days.

Congratulations! I think Guangzhou Embassy will get the case, and forward your Fiancee his/her 'packet 3' sooner than 3 months. I'm saying this based on the times I'm seeing for China timelines between people's NOA2 and their interview dates. Good Luck to you!
-
Congratulations!
Your story is very similar to mine. My fiancee and I are also in that "Post NOA2" time frame now.

This topic is very interesting. My fiancee has several "official" copies of a notorized, stamped, statement from Zhu Hai Chinese officials that says she is single and eligible to marry, both in Chinese and in English. We are also awaiting our interview date. Should my fiancee also take in a "self-made" notorized sworn statement also? Thanks

It took me 9 days in December to get my NOA1, and going back and looking, I notice the e-mail notification was sent a day later than the notice day that was printed on the NOA1 document I got in the mail. Maybe in the next day, or few.
-
Congrats! What a good feeling it is to get past this stage!
My fiancee and I are waiting for our interview date!
-
Gongrats! Know how good that feels!
-
One question. You just received your interview date, June 13. So you got your interview date only about 3 weeks prior? Just trying to figure how much time in advance I will be booking my next flight there. Thanks
-
Great News and Good Luck!
I'm sure you will do fine. My Fiancee and I are still waiting for our appointment date. Will probably be in late July (I'm sure it will be melting hot then in Guangzhou!
)

Dear Mickeyman, I
Please don't worry. I think you are about to recieve your NOA2 any day now, based on your NOA1 and my NOA1, vs. my NOA2 date. Your story is very much like mine. Best wishes for you.

Completely agree with Sanyata. Take three copies of the !-129F, and the G325 that will be about her, for her to sign. Also, as I'm sure you noticed, there are small parts of each of those forms that she will need to write the answers also in Chinese (native language)! Best Wishes, I have visited my fiancee in China three times now. We are waiting for her interview appointment, but just checking hypothetical flight dates in late July and in August (when the interview will probably be set), I noticed the same thing that someone recently commented on - flight fees are much higher now!
Its official CSC is backlogged

Interesting information, I received my NOA2 on May 9, still waiting on NVC. Thanks for the insight.
