Still waiting to get a letter from the US Embassy...

hmmm... I thought the embassy's the one that gives you your appointment letter for the medical? Yeah, I've read about some VJers who schedule their interviews ahead of time. However, I've read also that the medical should be done at least a week before the interview. So it might get messed up if we schedule an interview, and then we receive an appointment letter for the medical that's less than a week before the date! oh dear... so confusing. Let me know what you decide on...

Where did you get an appointment letter for the medical? I didn't get any yet.
-
Yes, as I have mentioned, our application was forwarded by NVC to US Embassy last November 2nd. Wow, I didn't know that you can schedule your interview ahead of time. By the way, who gives the schedule for medical? Can you just go there without any appointment?
-
Hi! I've noticed that you have your interview date already. Did you schedule it even before you got a letter from the US Embassy? My application left NVC last November 2nd but I didn't get any notification from the US Embassy yet.

Hello Philippines! Do I still need to have a CENOMAR? I'm single, never been married.

Hello Tahoma! Thank you for your reply. I wrote something back. Kindly check please. I think you're someone who's very informed about k1 stuff.

Hello! They gave our case number over the phone when my fiance called them. Haven't received documents from anyone yet, but I think after NOA2, the next notice will come from the US Embassy in Manila. By the way, be very patient when you call NVC. My fiance called 3x, and on the first 2 calls, he waited for 7 minutes, then on his 3rd call, someone finally answered after 5 minutes. haha...

My fiance called received NOA 2 Oct 26 and he called NVC on November 4th and they told him they already got the package and forwarded it to the embassy, so it seems it takes much less than a week. They also gave a case number with which you can follow your case.

Hi guys! For I-134 and I-864 (affidavit of support documents for K1), do I need the original ones or can my fiance just scan them and e-mail the signed copies to me?

I wanna call NVC sooo baadd but my fiance was like "let's wait at least a week babe." grrrr... haha!

Whaaaaaat??!! There's a visa fee? I thought the check you send together with the I-129F is all that there is. LOL! Anyway, can someone tell me how much the visa fee in the Philippines is?

Hello Philippines! Can I have the medical process done as early as now? I'm still goin through the NVC process but figured it would be better to get things ready while I'm waiting. Is there a certain hospital where I should get my medical from?
-
Itching to call NVC though it hasn't reached 2 weeks yet. I need to keep myself busy busy busy.

Hi! Is there really a need to get an NBI clearance? We heard from someone that you have to go to the office first to ask for an appointment, and that the appointments are usually scheduled a month from your visit to their office. Have you processed NBI clearance yet?
-
No NOA2 hardcopy yet! By the way, let me know how it goes with NVC. I heard it could take 1 week to a month of processing. I'd go for one week! Waiting for a month is nuts! =l
