  1. wow that was fast @Love&Cinta. Which documents did you send along with the N-400 form?

    - a photocopy of my Permanent Resident

    - 2 photographs

    - form G-1450 ( I paid the fee using my credit card)

    - husband's birth certificate

    - marriage certificate

    - tax returns year 2013, 2014 and 2015

    - bank statements showing that we have a joint account

    - apartment lease

    - IRS tax return transcript year 2013, 2014, 2015

yeah it was pretty fast :) really didn't expect that. maybe because I never went back to my home country since I been in the U.S. so there was nothing to verify my time outside the U.S. thats the only thing that I could think of. or maybe just lucky lol and oh, I didn't apply in 90 days window

  2. I only got 1 letter from USCIS for my Biometris appointment. Never received any letter mention about 1 year extension, I went to uscis "check my case" it says my case received. I remember when I applied for my first GC they sent receipt (NOA1) and few weeks letter they sent me Bio appt. Its weird to me when I see some people said that they got their 1 year extentension and I'm not.

  3. Thank you for the responds, forgot to mention that I am the only one child, my dad is retired and my mom is a homemaker, they do have some assets/property. My mom told the VO that she would only visit US for about 2 weeks because of my dad need her most and his back pain its on and off, and my mom is the only one who can always beside him for my dads therapy. My mom also told the VO that she has a family meeting that required her to show up.

  4. I am a GC holder and married to US citizen, have no kids yet. I invited my mom to come to US thru tourist visa but her first and 2nd attempt both got denial. At the first attemp the VO asked why my dad wouldnt travel with her to US. My mom didnt prepare well the answer, she told the VO that my dad doesnt plan to come to US anytime soon, she then got pink document. At the 2nd attempt, the VO asked exactly the same question about the reason why my dad wouldnt travel with her to US. This time my mom explained that my dad has a back pain that wont let him sit too long on the plane. Then the VO asked whether my has any documents that she can see, then my mom handed her the invitation/ sponsorhip letter from me and my husband, our marriage certificate, the copy of my Permanent Resident card, and bank statement. After that the VO said that she agree with her friend (the 1st VO who interviewed my mom). Then my mom got the pink document again. My mom was being honest during her interview, she just wanted to visit me and my husband and planned to visit Niagara Falls. So I'm here to see if anyone has a clue what should my mom do to get her tourist visa on her next attempt? If my dad willing to travel with her to US will she get the visa? Please help... any thoughts will be appreciated, Thank you.

  5. I did'n't show any stuff from facebook, but I think it's a good idea tho. Always good to prepare them just in case they need ur chat logs, to show how strong ur relationship goes, That time I showed them a couple of letters came from mail that I got from Fiance in US . Just don' t give them any reason to reject ur visa just bc of not providing chat logs. I believe u'll get ur noa2 this November. As long as u have all what USEM wants, u'll be okayy :)

  6. i arrived in US march 22 and went to SS office exactly the same with ur 1st day visit to SS Office (April 23 2012), they also gave me the same letter that u got. and now i'm still waiting for my SS Card. guess i cant do anything beside wait patiently, i sent my AOS paperwork without my SS number. anyway, did u get ur SS Card?

  7. Just make sure to bring the original of birth certificate of applicant. There was another girl came few mins after me has made the consular lady upset because she couldn't present her original birth certificate and she said that USEM never mentioned about original birth certificate in packet 3. It is important to be honest to government people , if you forgot, then tell the truth instead of make another excuses. I don't know whether she pass the interview with approval or not. :(

  8. Walked out of the US embassy Jakarta today with a white slip. Yes, My K1 visa is approved. I wanna thank you all VJers for the your help, suggestions, and thoughts for my older posts. My interview was successful and I thank God it was very smooth and easy but I believe that's because I have gathered and learned so much information from all of you guys :)

    So here's the review.

    Appointment: Wednesday 22nd February 2012 at 8.00

I arrived about 6 am. Lol. Yea I know that was so early but that was absolutely has made me be the 1st one to get interviewed.

About 7 am the guards checked my email appointment from usem, then they guided me to the consular waiting room. I had to wait until 8 am until an Indonesian lady assist me at window 5. She asked me all of the documents that they requires. And I was so surprised. She only took my passport, DS-156, DS-156K, DS-230 (then signed in front of her), my original birth certificate and the translation, my fiance original divorce decree and the copy, I-134 and my medical exam result. U know what? She gave me back fiance's U.S tax returns 1040, W-2, Bank statements and his employment letter and paystubs! She didn't even look at them, As simple she said ' we don't need these documents, miss'. Wow! Seemed they only concerned to I-134 only and the supporting documents are not necessary. ;)

She then told me to pay the visa fee USD350 then back to her with the visa payment receipt.

About 9.30am a guy at window 2 called my name for finger prints, then about 9.45 they called my name to enter window 1, a small room for interview. There, a nice US consular officer greeted me very kind and start to ask me questions : -who is your fiance - how did you met him - have you been to US - what he do - where does he live - is the place he living now is his own place? - what address will you stay in the US -

Then he said "Welcome to the United States of America" and gave me a white slip and told me to pick up my passport with visa on it on Monday 27 :) oh he didn't ask for our evidence of relationships at all. So my interview was about 5 minutes. And I really enjoyed it :D

Once again, thanks VJers!!! I hope for best luck for all of you!!
