Congrats! That is an awesome news! How long was the process from start to finish?
Thank you !! The whole process from USCIS stage (January 2017) to Immigrant Visa approval (November 2017) took about 10 months.

Hi! I just chose my Mom's agent(me)/ completed DS- 261 last 2 days. It says on my confirmation that I have to wait for them to send me an invoice asking for an immigrant visa processing fee. It says allow two weeks before I can do anything... did you have to do this too? It seemed like it only took you 2 days after filing ds 261, and you already paid the fees...
I'm still waiting for them to email or contact me so I can move forward into paying the fees...
Hi!! Yes it took only 2 days after completing DS- 261 to get AoS fee invoiced to me. So the AoS invoice comes with NVC welcome letter. You may want to call NVC for inquiry or keep checking CEAC website and see if the "PAY" button for AoS fees becomes clickable. If it does then go ahead to make payment, you don't have to wait for the welcome letter to make this payment. Good luck!!

Hello Friends
Regarding AOS fees
Do we need to pay AOS fees separate for parents? Or is it only one payment for both parents?
Only 1 payment of $120 needed for both parents.

Hi everyone! Hope everybody's doing well Just a quick update on my case, I received an email from NVC yesterday saying that I'm missing 1 W-2 form and that I need to send it to my mom so she can bring it at the interview. I don't need to send anything to NVC and they will schedule the interview soon. I'm 100% sure I sent NVC all my and my husband's W-2 so I don't know why I missed something, but just to be sure, i'll scan everythign again and send it over to my mom. Hope I hear back from NVC soon
Congrats Jennnnnnnnnna!!! Hoping we are all soon reunited with our loved ones soon!! ❤️

Hi sis @love&cinta I have question regarding the I-864. I petition my mom & dad too. I asked my sister in law to have support besides mine and my husband. Since I'm gonna send 2 I-864 forms, should my sister in law fill up the form my mom and me & my husband to my dad? And did u include a copy of your passport in sending documents? Thank you in advance.
Hi!! Hmmm.. I'm afraid that I have no clear answer for you.. In my case, I completed 1 form I-864 for my mom and 1 form I-864 for my dad. Then my husband completed 1 form I-864A for my mom, and 1 form I-864A for my dad.. you may want to call NVC or do some research from trusted website.
and yes, I did send 2 copies of my passport to NVC.
Good luck and hope you find the answer for your question! 😊😊

Hi bhelle! I don't think we can ask the beneficiary to do the medical examinations without interview letter from NVC/ Embassy in hand.

Haha yea I was nervous about time too... I heard of people struggling because the page times out after 20 mins. I had all the info I needed written down in advance (my personal info, spouse, parents etc and housing info) so I pretty much just entered everything in smoothly. Definitely took no longer than 20-30 mins! And I was doing it quite slowly. If you have the whole day and all your information should be no problem!
I was able to print the receipts, a copy, and confirmation page immediately after completion good luck!
Awesome!! And thanks! Good luck to you too!!

Lol I'm excited getting this forms done! I have 2 DS-260 needs to be completed for both of my parents. How long did it take you to complete the application? I'm off work tomorrow and wondering if I can get it done in one day and did you get any problems printing the confirmation page? I'm afraid getting confirmation page will take another 2 weeks lol

I just called NVC, the customer service lady told me what to do, she said to make sure to use internet explorer when accessing the ceac site. When the 'on Thursday July 07 2017 from 12.00 pm.......' pops out, just hit continue and it will bring up the page where we can put bank information etc. I just did it and it worked!! I printed out the receipt it says payment is in process and now waiting 2-3 business days to have access to DS-260.
Good luck guys!!

Update: 07/03/17 choice of address and agent (DS-261) completed.

Update: just received NVC case #, Beneficiary ID # and Invoice # from NVC. I had to call them today to get all of these information. I actually called them every other day since they received my documents from USCIS on 06/16/17. So it took 2 weeks for NVC just to create case number etc. I'm now just waiting for the hard copy of welcome letter with instructions from NVC coming through mail. I have no idea why the case number etc was already created but they didn't send me anything through my email. I even checked my junk email folder lol. I'm glad I kept calling them lol. Good luck to all of us here, 5 years not seeing my parents has been really tough for me 😭😭

Exactly 2 weeks. Based on approval notice date 06/02 to today 06/16. They said I can call again in a few days to get case numbers for my parents.

Woohoo!!! Mom's petition has been approved on June 13th! Looks like a lot will be receiving good news too... I downloaded Case Tracker on my phone and a lot has been approved on the 12th and 13th. Now moving on to the NVC process. Good luck to everyone!
Yaaaaaayyyyyy!!!!! Awesome Jennnnnnnnnna!! Congrats and good luck with the new steps! USCIS website finally updated my case status to 'My case was sent to Department of State'.. and I did call NVC yesterday and the customer service lady told me they still haven't got my approved petitions and advised me to wait for another 2 weeks for them to put everything on their system.. Another waiting game I guess lol..
