interview done 1/5/16 by 7;30am at phoenix local office. i arrived 7;15am and had to wait for another 15 minutes to be called. The interview was conducted by a male IO. he walked me to his office and told me to swear an oath that i will say the truth. i did.
The first step he took was asking me to read and the sentence goes .
What is Columbus day? then he asked me to write
Columbus day is in October. after that we moved to the civic test. The following questions were asked at interval
What did the declaration of independence do?
How many justices are in the Supreme Court?
If the president or the Vice President can no longer serve who becomes president?
Name one branch or part of government?
We elect a US Senator for how many years?
what does the president's cabinet do?
All these were answered and we moved on to the yes/no question. After this stage he asked for my age and if my wife lives with me. At the end he asked me to write my alien # on the column that is needed. He didn't check on the documents i took with me. he responded that what he had with him was ok. He approved me immediately and gave me a form indicating my approval. He told me the boss will need to re-check my application before mailing me my oath information. I also asked if there is any earliest available dates in January that could be assigned to me. He told me he will try but can't assure me but the least he can assure me is that if January will not be available that February will. he escorted me back to the exit and told me to expect a mail in few weeks

Interview approved in Phoenix office. Anxiously waiting for the final stage.

Vj sucks. This lady Is only asking for a guideline and not for people to judge or go into her private life. I expected the forum to say something if they can and not all the jargons of someone using one as a green card wife. That's so stupid and unethical. For the fact some of you had been duped or deceived does not mean everyone will. Madam, this is your husband and the case is worth fighting for. Do whatever thing u can to support your man and see that any documents needed to facilitate the speedy respond to your case. Go with the treads that offer solution to your case and not the ones judging your relationship. Be wise

If the denial was based on his tattoos,then removing it makes no difference cos the IO understands the meaning of it better than your spouse. All you have to proof to them is that he is of good behavior and have some relative write an affidavit on his behalf indicating his a good person

There is no time to waste if you have more than enough evidence refile k1 visa and you will be fne.Most reason for refusal some times are not based on what you submit but the ability to interprets your relationship to the CO.Most second time filing comes out good if you address your initial refusal.

Sorry Chi,it is one of those things in life.It's just unfortunate that he fell into the hands of the wrong interviewer.From my own opinion i would advice you to file a new petition ASAP.A fresh K1/CR1 depending on the one your mind leads you to.Waiting on the respond of the recent denial is just a waste of time,i may sound so discouraging but that's just the truth.Seeing him again in a couple of months for interview in Lagos by same petitioner is more than enough to convince them that you guys are in for real.Don't waste time trying to wait,make your plans now.I live in Tempe AZ,feel free to contact me whenever you want.I am a beneficiary of a K1 petition.

A visa in needed to go to UK.he needs to apply for a general visit visa and show documentary evidence that he has tie here in the state.Letter from work/school,Bank statement,hotel reservation etc
