  1. Looking at IGOR's List, the pattern appears to point that we will have many NOA2 in the first quarter of the year.

    http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?visa=3&form=2&scenter=1&option=1&sortby=2

As you can see, NOA2 approval has seriously declined since May 2011 and another major declined from July and yet Another CONSISTENT MAJOR Decline from August onward.

    Sorted by NOA1 date:[/size

I-130 IR-1/CR-1 Filers at the California Service Center - Approved Petitions

from: 2011-02-01 to 2011-02-28 Sorted by First NOA = Number of NOA2 approved 86

from: 2011-03-01 to 2011-03-31 Sorted by First NOA = Number of NOA2 approved 116

from: 2011-04-01 to 2011-04-30 Sorted by First NOA = Number of NOA2 approved 93

from: 2011-11-01 to 2011-11-30 Sorted by First NOA = Number of NOA2 approved 11

from: 2011-12-01 to 2011-12-31 Sorted by First NOA = Number of NOA2 approved 10

I realize that this is not 100% but i think it is pretty damn close as we can get with USCIS.

My only question is that since these data only show 2011 NOA1 getting approved in the same year, around 4 months.

So In majority of our cases, our NOA1 is from last year (2011). Lots of people have been waiting for their NOA2 for over 4-6 months or even longer!

That being said, so does that mean people who got their NOA1 early on in 2012 will be pushed backed up to process last years NOA1 dates?

In anycase, if past data is still valid, I hope and We Should get our NOA2 this month, especially those of us who have been waiting for NOA2 since mid last year get our NOA2 this month!

  2. OMG ! That was a double Typo, I promise

I am totally asking for it now! WOW haha

Hey Hey this is still a serious Poll ! Okay ! :P

but i did spell it right in the thread message section.

 You would hardly find any "Mail" in this site.

I thought it would be interesting to see what % of both sexes are Male or Female and of US Citizen or Foreign Citizen.

  3. Hey guys,

I'm just wondering what have your experience been like?

After Interview goes successful and Visa is approved and lets say Visa stamped on beneficiary's passport.

How soon can you come to US? as soon as you get the Visa, just book the flight ticket?

In your experience, did you just book 1 way flight and then book return flight together with the beneficiary?

    Thanks guys !

  4. I agree. Every one of us should call CSC once or Twice daily and ask to speak to Supervisor regarding this RIDICULOUS Long wait

How should we start this? any inputs?

what if those of us condemned to the CSC were to band together and coordinate an email/telephone blitz to USCIS headquarters to demand a response as to why the processing date of June 16th, has been stagnated for several months now? Especially since the USCIS is standing by their stated CSC 5 month processing times on their website. The recent comments here show their active file processing date has not moved at CSC for months, then it seems reasonable that someone of higher authority needs to become engaged in identifying the problem and letting us poor serfs know what is going on. If they won't kick some tails to break up the log jam itself.

I doubt if individually any one person's inquiry would generate enough attention or heat to get any type of inquiry or pressure from on top to the CSC to get their act together, but if the power of VJ were to be channeled in that manner with the sheer number of actual active CSC petitioners there are on this board it might be beneficial.

    Just a thought?

  5. Yes.

For K3, first I-130, then you get NOA1, then you send NOA1 from I-130 with your I-129F

But avoid all these and just go straight CR1 which is better. I did K3 but i should have gone CR1.

How do you file for K-3 without first filing I-130? I understood the K-3 can be applied for only after you receive NOA1 for I-130?

Thanks in advance for any answers.

  6. Ok so since you already mailed I-129F, then you'll just wait and see. You will get NOA1 for I-129F also, same as I-130.

I was gonna suggest you to not mail I-129F so that it remains CR1.

In anycase, I did K3 thinking it would be faster but nope, no luck.

I'm still waiting for NOA2, almost 5 months now. I still don't know if mine will be processed as K3 or CR1. (I did note in the I-129F cover letter that this is for K3)...hmmmm i guess i just wait and see

If I ended up mailing the I-129F for the K3 anyway, will it affect the progress of my CR1? I was not sure of that initially and since it was free I thought what the heck let me file it anyway and see what is quicker. Does it make a difference?

  7. I have seen June 2011 applicants who got approved in Jan 2012. So not sure, there is no definite for USCIS.

Few patterns i saw on VJ is that applicants from Japan, S Korea, & Dominican Republic seems to getting NOA2 approved in 1-2 months.

Where as others are waiting 4-7 months just to get NOA2

    hello,

i just talked to my friend and his case took 8months till interview. he said processing time depends on when did you file for your spouse. If you file before June it gets processed this year but if you filed later then there is long time....is this correct does anyone knw

  8. Wow very secretive code name for: Country A, B...

    okay anyways...lets move on.

If you marry, then you have to file CR1 which is I-130, which is for your spouse.

I-129F is for K1 Fiancee, i think you got mixed up there.

Once you submit your I-130, you have have to file several other documents. It is also good idea to have your Home US address where they will mail any issues with your applications (ex: RFE(request for more evidence, or any missing documents etc...)

So it is good idea if you have someone who will mail all these documents from US to the USCIS and then to NVC.

Overall, your plan is a very Grand plan so just be prepared for any unforeseen issues.

    Best wishes

  9. Yes, togetherforever13 is correct.

Since you are in Military, you can get it Expedited

Take a look at this thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/345703-how-to-get-a-expedited-case/

    and Best of LUCK !

    VisaJourney,

I'm overjoyed that my I-130 was approved in 23 days. I understand there are many people who have been waiting 4-6 months, I'm sorry to them people. I'm due to deploy (military) in May, even if my loved one is able to make it to the US prior to May I will still be living without my loved one until November (I hope that is all).

With a delay of over one month from approval to NVC it looks like my wait will be WELL over 15 months total..

Thank you for your replies so far they are helpful.

  10. At lease be thankful that your i-130 was approved in 23 days!

There are many people who have been waiting for over 4-6 months and still no NOA2.

It has now been 138 days for me and still no NOA2!

I'm almost reaching 5 months now.

Was looking at the times between the I-130 Approved and NVC Received times from California. They seem to very between 3 days and over a month. Why is this? What causes this? Just looking for some information on what this time is.

    Thanks

  11. SHAME ON USCIS ! :protest::ranting::protest::ranting::protest::ranting:

What really gets me angry is that USCIS is favoring certain countries in this process.

They get approved NOA2 in less than 1-2 months Where as others have been waiting for over 4-6 months still have not received their NOA2.

USCIS if you are reading this !

SHAME ON YOU USCIS ! :protest: :protest: :ranting::protest::ranting:

Why don't you just process application on first come first basis !

Unfortunately, I just called USCIS and was told they're still processing frakking 16June. So, they refuse to look into anything and are "unable" to submit a service request to find out what's going on. More lies and excuses... nothing bloody more...

  12. I saw quite a few Dominican Republic applicants getting approved lot faster than others.

so thats good news for you !

    I'm almost 5 months now :-(

Oh well, Guess I didn't join the 30 day club like some of the others. It's been 30 days since my NOA1, and I was hoping to become one of those who gets the NOA2 within 30 days like other VJ members. *sigh*, well 5 months here I come.

    Matt

  13. Thank you so much Kathryn41 !

It was driving me nuts  HEHE

You need to edit your profile information still. Go to the upper right hand corner, click on your user name, click on 'my profile' from the drop down menu, then click 'edit my profile' in upper right hand corner of page. A 'fill in the box' form should open up. This is all the information that appears underneath your profile so you can make any changes here. Remember to click 'save changes' at the bottom of the page. The information should now appear on your profile. :)

  14. Maybe 2-6 months?

But you should check the statistics. Click on the tab = Portal, clck on India as country to follow and then on the lower left side click on CR1 or K3 etc to check on NOA2 processing Time.

NOA2 has been very slow since June 2010. People from June and July 2010 are finally getting their NOA2 so hopefully they will catch up and get back on track.

I'm almost coming to 5 months and still no NOA2. :(

    Hi All

I have received the NOA1 dated 3rd of January 2012. My Application I130 has been sent to VSC. Can anyone tell me roughly how many days I shall have to wait for NOA2. Thanks in advance

  15. Hi Rebecca W.,

jhsm85 is correct. We have had Japan CR1 applicant who got NOA2 approved in 13 DAYS ! :wow: :wow: :wow:

    That is SUPER FAST !

:ranting: Most of us have been waiting for over 4 months, some over 5 and 6 months just to get NOA2 from USCIS.

Look at this links for SUPER FAST NOA2 approval  : http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/334452-october-2011-filers/

Timeline of that Japan applicant screen name: rey11 http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=110272

I think you should go for CR1 instead of K3. I did K3 because i thought it would be faster but NO thats not true. :-( I have been waiting for almost 5 months now. :crying:

I wish i had gone CR1 just like many on here have suggested me last year and just only submitted I-130.

I filed our I-130 04 Oct. already received text 12 Oct! I guess NOA2 is the longest wait.

    *** Update: Received NOA2 message 25 Oct 11!

Just filed normal, wasn't sure why sent to CSC which seem to be behind everyone else. I wasn't expecting anything until Feb2012. then I notice that the Japan members I'm following was getting approved in like 17 days. so it gave me some hope. I received the notice in 13 days

Yep, only certain embassies and consulates will take I-130s. You'll have to mail it to Chicago. On a positive note, it seems like petitions mailed to the US where the petitioner is living in a VWP country with the beneficiary are going by pretty fast. I would mail it while you're still residing in Japan.

I am trying to file an I-130 petition to eventually get a K3 visa for my husband, a Japanese national.

We are both currently living in Tokyo, Japan. I went to the embassy website for Tokyo, and tried to schedule an appointment my I-130 petition, but all the slots are "unavailable", even for the next two years! I tried other embassies in Okinawa and Sapporo, both all unavailable for years! Am I missing something on making an I-130 petition appointment at an embassy?

So I have a few questions:

    1) Is it even possible to get an appointment to submit my I-130 petition? I called the Embassy in Tokyo, and the person transfered me to a recording of how I can call a number and pay to get answers to my questions. Who/Where should I contact for a more direct answer?

    2) Would I be better off just to mail it in to Chicago? That would save me a morning of my time, but I'm not quite sure how to pay the $420 filing fee from Japan, as I don't have a US bank account. Would they accept a postal money order from Japan in US Dollars?

    3) I'm returning to the States in April, leaving my husband alone in Japan for a while. He's worried that the process won't be smooth, and I'll have to come back to Japan to fix some issue. Once I have the I-130 petition done, is my "side" of the visa process paperwork basically done, other than preparing the relevant documents of what he needs for his interview? In other words, my physical presence won't be required in Japan.

I thank you all deeply for your help. :)

  16. Same here, it has been 135 days for me and still no NOA2.

Also, i don't think K3 is completely dead. I think we might get moved to CR1. I should have gone with CR1 when i was suggested last year. In anycase, i think it is moving, moving at a SNAIL PACE ! :bonk::angry:

hey guys! i was wondering why CSC is stopped right now? I mean, i am looking everyday in the timeline on igor´s list, and just the K1 visa is being approved @ this time. The last K3 aproved was on dec 7th 2011. I have 155 days waiting since we apply for the K3 and my husband just call USCIS yesterday and they said the CSC is back up. They said it will be another 48 days on top of the five month wait that we have already endured.

    Any help, or idea?

And, why the K1 visa is faster than K3?

    Thank you all!

  17. My Beneficiary laminated the Birth Certificate document but to be safe we got another Original Birth Certificate and did not laminate.

We know non laminated document has no issue but laminated document may or may not. If there is problem, it could delay your process :help: and you may be asked to get non laminated ones. :bonk:

So Why chance it ! I would not !

Just thinking ahead here. Although they won't be needed for a while, my wife's Birth Certificate is Laminated. If you actually had a laminated doument if you could please chime in if that was a problem or not and when it was reviewed?

I am hoping to not have to get a new birth certificate for her. It would be a) expensive due to local shenanigans, and b) require my wife and our baby to travel back to her home village which is very 3rd world (if even that clean) and stay there about a month. This would not be safe for our baby that is 4 months now and a US citizen btw.
