    We met in September of 2010. I was going for a friends wedding and ended up falling in love! He is the nephew of my friend's husband. From the first nigh of meeting him, there was something there! I went for the third time in June and he proposed on my birthday at a restaurant near the beach :) Sent my k-1 on July 12, 2011 :) He arrived to US on 1/12/12 and married on 4/15/12. The rest is history ;-)

    Went to Civil Surgeon today. She said it takes 2 weeks -_-! Tried to apply for permit but visa expired :( So now we have to wait until we get EAD card. BUT he can drive with Dominican license up to one year! :)

      you do not need to get a full physical exam as long as you're applying before 1 yr is up from the last medical exam. Also at least here in NY you can find DOH clinics that give you all vaccines free of charge. A civil surgeon I went to just charged me $50 to sign off on everything and make sure he was up to date on the vaccines.
