It took two months, but we finally received our interview date. It's currently scheduled for October 11 in Dakar, but we will have to change it once we get settled in Poland, as we are leaving Dakar in three days!

I was hoping the NVC would give my husband an interview date for his birthday today. No such luck. Almost three weeks since case completed at NVC and still no word on an interview.

Well, everyone the moment we've been waiting for..........*drumroll*, Sept. 18th is the date of interview. WOO-SAH!! God help us cause I'm so shocked I dont even know where to begin with quizzing him on stuff about me. Smh! My senses will come back in like 48 hours. Lol.

On this day last year, I was amped to get on a flight traveling outside the US for the first time and doing it alone to meet the man who asked if I would wait for him....1 year anniversary for traditional wedding is on Monday!

Just got an email back from the embassy in Dakar saying that it could take up to SIX WEEKS for them to even receive our documents from NVC. Looks like we won't have our interview until September some time.

I've been reading through the forums and I'm wondering if there is another fee that will need to be paid at the interview stage. If so, how much? I can't find it on the State Dept. website.
