every one, I have heard that its takes at least 30 day to finish up or max of 90 days the name check .......people who are getting there interview are mostly more then 5 yrs or more then 3 yrs, for those people who don't have there 3 yrs or 5 yrs completed have to wait till the time is cover they don't give it before time. hope this helps........

My wife got her interview letter for 9/27/2012. Can you someone update the list?

Great that's amazing,at least July is moving forward, soon we will all get it, but you gave us good sign , only i want to know did ur status change to interview or not ...

Thanks hotshot. Where do you come up with all this useful info:) I have downloaded it and will go through it in a while.

rcling26: Its actually a surprise and news to me that one can try Biometrics at a different location than the one assigned. Mabye, it is allowed, or possibly the location that you went to, didn't notice. But as long as USCIS receives your bio, nothing else matters.

Thanks Pathan its all about research , knowledge and know how , the biggest thing is that we are all in it and go through this process so helping other makes a difference and i have a question also ? i did my EB on the 3rd of Aug ( originally it was due on the 14th of Aug but still no update yet , any change in others.....just being impatient .. we all want to get out of this circle but we can help it...... :thumbs:

I pass my interview today. Thank you VJ!!! IO tells me that we have every month Oath ceremony.

First IO asks: "Do you understand The Oath of Allegiance?" (Yes)

Then she asks me to explain this. (Give up loyalty to different countries. Be loyal to the US. Support the Constitution. Serve the US: fight in the US Army or to do noncombatant service.)

She checks very carefully my passports. I don't have any trips.

And tell me give everything what I have to proof my marriage.

Writing and reading test: What state has the most people? California has the most people.

Civics: 1. what is one right or freedom from the First Amendment? (Speech)

2. Who is in charge of the executive branch? (The President)

3. If the President can no longer serve, who becomes President? (The Vice President)

4. There are four amendments to the Constitution about who can vote. Describe one of them. (Citizens 18 and older can vote)

5. What is one reason colonist came to America? (Freedom)

6. During the Cold War, what was the main concern of the United States? (Communism)

hotshot: Here is what I found out. I called the number. pressed "2", then "9". After waiting for a minute, i got hold of a representative. I asked him if my fingerprint checks had been received. After verifying my name and D.O.B, he told me that I had my biometrics on 08-01. They received it the same day and replied to USCIS the same day. So, your info was really helpful. Another burden off my chest. Your post would surely be helpful to many applicants hotshots. Do let me know what you found out.

ya i just called them and they said we send iit to the uscis on 08/03 on the same day that great, but i for got to tell you that one part( finger prints) there are 2 part more which is name check and the public inquiry hopefully that will be done soon....

RedMustang: Thank you for your input. So, atleast we know now that EB's do push your case up to the level where FBI's checks get done earlier. I am sure Interview letter would follow soon.....

Exactly the question I wanted to ask. this would be a proof that EB's actually expedite cases. Would be comforting to know if somebody comes forward with an update....

i agree with you , one of the member said that you can call and check weather (The early bio)has gone to the FBI or not on 304-625-5590 option 4 , i am going to wait till Friday or Monday i hope they didn't loose it .....because mine is still saying send you the bio letter, status didn't change hmmmm

That's what people say - to make as many eligible voters, etc., however here in ATL the process has pretty much ground to a halt since June :-/ I filed at the end of June, I'm in the queue for IL, but people have been stuck in that stage here since May.

I agree with you 100% but you must understand that it depends where your local office , i lived in Chicago and it is a busy office , but where as i am in Boise its not busy at all, like if you see that in new york it will be busy because its on the east coast ,well on the west coast its not that busy i rarely see a rush in our local office, just be positive and let see ,why i am saying that when i went for my early bio the person said ..See you in 3-4 weeks, he was smiling lets see...

You know, I'll hit the 3 years on Oct 15th as well As per my understanding, by law we can not take the Oath before the 3 year mark, so even if we have our interviews before that, USCIS will wait and give us a date after October, 15th. If I am wrong, somebody correct me. But I read similar responses from some senior members of VJ.

i agree with you but you must know that its election year they want as many people to vote in this election , so may be we will be lucky let see......

No. You are not required to be registered. But there are times when you will need to provide proof of it. For that you need a letter from Selective services that states that you were not required to register as you did not enter between the age 18-26. In my case I have always required to submit this letter when applying to colleges. You need to send a form to the selective services and request for a letter from them.

do you know where i can call or get this form for selective service to prove that i don't require it...

i have question , related to selective service if i entered at the age of 33 do i need to be registered , i hear if you have entered above 33 you don't need to even if you on green card.....
