    We've spent the last three days trying to find him a car and a job. No luck with the car, but he got a job today that he starts tomorrow morning. The good thing about it is it's close to my job and has similar hours so we can ride together. Gracias a Dios!

    I leave to go visit my baby in 2 days. Interview is in 4 days. After months of waiting, hours of worry and minutes of complaining (to them) I think we are ready. I can not wait to hold my wonderful Blessing from God in my arms. She has totally been amazing on this last leg of the run to the interview date. Just to think.. They was telling us that we could not get our package until 3 days ago. Thank you VJ members for information and comments. I will pass all I learn to anyone i can.

    Hey guys I plan to go visit my sweetheart on 2/23 and stay a few days....his birthday is on the 27!! I want to do something special and stay at a nice cabana if possible in santiago. I was told that the Bora bora is nice. Just want to know if anyone can confirm this? or if they are any other suggestions? ;-)

    Just spoke to the VS......his visa was issued yesterday afternoon so delivery should either begin today or Monday. Thank you Lord for hearing my desperate and annoying cries...Allelujah!!!

      they are giving random interview dates and only some of the NVC reps tell you this. My case completed mid December and my interview was scheduled for late February. And some other folks here have so just play it safe and dont cut it so close to your finals.

    Medical & BC sumbitted to window 26 at 9:00am. They confirmed everything is in and that we should be receiving the visa soon. Not getting my hopes up, as I learned the hard way the first time around.....let's see what will really happen.

    My poor husband....he arrives for his vaccines and they are making him redo his entire medical exam...and pay the total amount again. They think they will defeat us, but little do they know, God doesn't like ugly...he is watching over us and everything will work out as it should. Karma's an evil B!TCH

      Like Coach411 said just go to the Provincias Palacio de Justicia (you can get it that same day) you will need a copy of his cedula, we didn't need a birth certificate or passport photo but you do need to pay the 300 bucks at Banco de Reserva.... Hey Ana my husband and I are both from a town near Nagua called La Entrada de Cabrera..... We love it there ;)

      WOW, that is so wrong, you already did your medical exam. How long ago was it, if it is still within the 30 days then it should be fine. I cant believe all the hoops you have to go through because they cant get their SH!T organized.... so WRONG

    I'm still getting used to the fact that my husband has never seen or used certain household items. So far I've had to show him how to use the potato peeler, mop, microwave and can opener. He says, "In your country there's always a machine or something to do the work for you." He occasionally still puts some dishes away in the wrong spot, but at least he's trying and learning.

      the funniest is that they use a knife to open cans and just about anything else they can stick it in...... my husband says eso es ser bago.... and i'm like no it's about being efficient ;)
