    Tax return transcript for ROC

    Hi everyone, I filed my ROC in late September and have done my bio 3 weeks ago. Now I just read through all the topics here and getting confused to my tax return transcript I sent with my ROC package. We did our tax return with TurboTax and I just sent the copies saved files from my software. If i m not wrong we didn't get any transcript from IRS. So, is that possible that we might get RFE? Should I request that to IRS just in case I get RFE? Anyone who is in the same TurboTax boat with me? :)

    Any advice will be appreciate.

    It expires Jan 05, 2014. By now, I think I rather risk it and see if they send it back to me or accept it a few days earlier, although unlikely.

    So, it is a week earlier. Well, it will be great if they accept by chance but if they send it back after your biometric, there is no way to get back your money and waste the time I guess. I m also interested in your case. I had done my package since a couple of week before my 90 days window opens. I just sent it 2nd day of 90 days. :)

    Thank you dessndave. Yeah, I m also thinking to use whether cashier check or money order as I don't want to be delay to my case for any reasons :D
    My package is almost ready which includes;

    1. payment in amount of $590

    2. I-751 petition form

    3. marriage certificate

    4. tax return for 2011 and 2012 photocopy

    5. BOA joint saving & checking account statements (2012 thru 2013)

    6. AMEX joint accounts statements (2012 thru 2013)

    7. copy of GC

    8. ID copies of both of us

    9. copies of title of our cars showing joint ownership

    10. Bills and letters with proof of same address

    11. copy of my job employee personal profile showing spouse as emergency contact

    12. copy of my 401K retirement plan showing spouse as 100% beneficiary

    13. three letters of affidavits (one from relative and two from friends)

    14. wedding reception photos in our country, vacation photos to everywhere in 2011 thru 2013

    Anything should I add in?

    K-1 visa or I-130 form?

    I applied for K1 in Jan 2011, I got interview in June. I got visa in hand in Jurly. I came over here, US and got married in Sep. (cuz I was needed to give one month notice to resign from my job). We filed AOS in end of Sep. I got my AOS approval in Dec 2011. This is my one year journey. FYI.

    If you get married and he files an I-130, there's no AOS journey. But, it takes longer than K1 to be together with your sweetheart.

    We sent only our marriage certificate and license in AOS package. We are also living with his sister family and they are our co-sponsor. We had joint account but we didn't summit any copy of our bank information with AOS package not even our wedding photos. We just brought them to our interview. And I have neither driver license nor state ID as I have been here for only 3 months+. We just only filed all necessary documents nicely for AOS. But, your case and mine might be a bit different as I came over here with K1 visa. So, all other evidence of relationship are in their hands with my K1 package. I didn't do medical again for AOS cuz my K1 medical was within a year. Our interview was so simple and fast. I just wanna suggest you to send your wedding photos in the package even they don't ask for. You can check my timeline. No worry, you will get it! All the best!

    The answer is "No". It's ok as long as you get married within 90 days of your POE. At the interview, IO asked me whether I got married within that 90 days or not.

    For us , we got married at county city hall after 2 weeks of my arrival in the States as we will make reception in our home country. So, we got the certificate on the spot and we filed AOS 2 weeks after our marriage.

    We had our AOS interview this morning. Our appointment time is actually at 12:30pm but we got there around 10:30am. After waiting for 30 mins, IO call my name ans said thanks to us as we came there so early. :D

    After she's done checking few paper work, she asked

    1. How and when did you meet? (and she asked where our country is.. and we chit chat about that for few mins)

    2. How and where did he propose?

    3. How was our 3 year long distance relationship?

    4. Then he asked a few questions taken directly from the filing forms.

    5. How to pronounce my full name?

    6. She asked to see passports/ID only, she didn't ask to see our birth certificates, joint bank account, even our wedding photos.

    7. After that, I was given approval a stamped letter confirmating the decision, no stamp was placed in my passport.

    When we were back to our car, it was only 11:30pm .. :D We called to my sister-in-law and she was so scared to pick up the phone as she thought we forgot something. :D And when I pass our good news, she said "Humm, it's not 12:30pm yet" :D It's funny, huh?

    Over all, IO is very friendly but her eyes is so sharp.... Well, finally, my 4 months AOS journey went well. I can sleep tonight well. I have no stress for my status for 2 years.

    Marriage Certificate?

    Is that what we received when we applied for the marriage license or is that something we pick up from the Courthouse after we're married?

    Yes, the one in your hand now is marriage license and the other one you are waiting for is marriage certificate. My hubby said the most important one is marriage license as all our info and signatures are there. The certificate comes with only our names but without signatures. I sent both of them with our AOS to be safe avoiding RFE.
