My 2012 filer here. Still not approved, transferred to the CSC tho :-/
-
Ok, that does make sense to me. I guess we will see how it all plays out in the next few months. If his AOS gets approved soon (fingers crossed!) then we won't even have to worry about it. And if they do want him to have them done again then that's what we'll have to do.
Thanks for the answer, Nich-Nick

Hi everyone,
We're waiting for my husband's AOS to be approved still. In the mean time, his EAD is going to expire in July. We sent in for a renewal of his EAD with a NOA1 date of 4/10. We have not however received a letter for him to have his biometrics done again. He got his first set done June 16th, 2012 (something like that). Does that mean he does not have to have another set of biometrics done for the EAD renewal as his are still good until June? And if the EAD renewal is not approved before the biometrics expire will he need a new one? Is that how it works?

Woohoo! Received email this morning that my wife's AOS has been approved and her green card is being printed and will be received within the next 30 days. 1 year and 2 weeks.
Yahoo!! Congrats, took their time didn't they! lol I'm glad I'm not the only one still waiting over a year! We just reached the 1 year anniversary of my husband's AOS NOA1 date, so hopefully we'll only have to wait a few more weeks (preferably days! lol)
-
Congrats! I bet that's a relief!
That gives me hope, we just passed the 1 year mark! h

Well, at this point I kinda feel like there's not much else I can do! Kinda feel helpless. Trying to avoid as much stress as possible! It's pretty hard though! Just kinda wondering what the hold up is! haha
Thanks

Well, it's here! Happy 1 year anniversary to my husband's AOS NOA1.... still waiting, but not so patiently anymore
2 Service requests
Inquired with our Representative (who hasn't done jack, btw)
Inquired with our Senator (just mailed off those forms to her this week since Rep hasn't done anything)
EAD renewal sent, but no new biometrics letter was sent yet saying he needs new finger prints

Ok, thanks for that info! I think we will definitely become joint account holders for one of our accounts! Do you think that they will think it's suspicious that we didn't have one during the first year of our marriage? I thought what we were doing checking account wise was ok.
We haven't even been approved for his AOS yet, and that's been a year in the waiting too as of tomorrow!
-
I've posted this in another thread, but then I saw this one and it fits in here too...
How important really is the joint bank account? We've chosen so far not to have one. It's really easy for us to do that though because through our bank we can just email each other money. I pay most the bills and then he will email my checking account money for rent, and on my bank receipt it has his name, the amount of money and he'd type in "rent" for what the money is for. We have other things, such as car insurance, car loan, car title, credit cards in both our names, leases, utility bill etc that have our names on it together.
I'm just wanting to make sure that when we are getting to the point of ROC'ing we have proof of comingling!

My medical exam was on Sept 6-7, 2011 and expired last year Sept. 6 2012 I got GC approval last month so everyone that's been waiting for more than 6mos. would have expired medical exams and it's very ridiculous and inconsiderate that they'd request new medical exam when technically, it expired while waiting for someone to process the application.
I was wondering about that too, I agree with you as well! It seems a bit ridiculous if that were true cuz there would be many more people with expired medicals!

Wednesday will be our 1 year anniversary for my husband's AOS NOA1. I have a feeling that we're going to get an RFE as well due to the medical, since it'll be a year now that he's been waiting for the green card, or they lost it or something.... This is making me quite angry. I just wish they'd do something with his application! The last "touch" was Dec 11, 2012 when we changed addresses....
-
Never thought it would take this long, but it's going to be 1 year since we sent in for my husband's green card. NOA1 date May 1, 2012 transferred to CSC May 25th, 2012. I'm so frustrated I don't know what to do about this anymore. We asked our representative for help, which was a waste of time. They've had our papers/info for 1.5 months and NO word back from them. I even called them and the guy who answered said they have an imigration liaison on our case and we should hear from them "today or tomorrow"... 2 weeks later, not a word.
We put in 2 service requests, the first one answered with "we'll get to it when we get to it" and the 2nd one said it's currently beind adjudicated. However we got that 2 weeks ago and haven't heard a thing about it yet. Infact, his case hasn't been "touched" since December 11, 2012 when we had our address updated!!!!! It would be nice to know that they're at least looking at it! Do they only have 1 person looking at AOS applications at the CSC or something?! And they can only do maybe 5 a day?! It's frustrating when people who have applied even this year have already gotten their green cards and ours seems to be lost in that black hole of the CSC.
Are there any more May 2012 filers out there? Or are we the last ones....
-
So VERY frustrating! Sorry to hear! I hope it's something super simple and then they'll approve your case soon afterwards. But very frustrating that you had no notice of this yet, as nothing came in the mail or anything in regards to it!
We have very similar timelines and are still waiting to hear anything about my husband's case. Keep in touch!
-
not a title i want to compete with you for!!! keeping my fingers crossed you hear soon!
Lol, thanks
Are you sure you don't want that title?
just kidding, the waiting has been grinding on my nerves. And it's not even my green card (it's for my husband!) All I can say is that I'm thankful that we can at least be together during this wait. It's just pushing back the next steps of the process.
-
Received the green card today! WoohoO!
Congrats!! Woohoo!!
I wonder how many more days for us to hear anything about my husband's case. We put in a 2nd service request March 28th, and last week we got a letter back saying his case was currently being adjudicated and we should have an answer in 45 days. I really hope that's true and not just a lie.
Guess we could possibly be one of the longest waiting AOS'ers from a K-1 out there still! lol It will be 1 year in 1 more week and 2 days. NOA1 of May 1, 2012.
-
Congrats!
When did you apply for the Green card? We're 11 days away from the 1 year mark of applying. NOA1 May 1st, 2012
-
I hope that helps move things in the right direction!!
We're still waiting to hear on our first service request. AOS application received in June and nothing since receiving the EAD combo card in August. I've also contacted our representative to no avail.
I sure hope so too! I hope it's not giving us a false hope! When did you send in your first service request? After waiting a month (maybe 1.5 months) after our 1st service response we put in a 2nd one. We also contacted a representative, but haven't heard so much from them yet either.
I really hope they will have an answer for us soon. It's been driving me mental! And it's not even for me but for my husband! lol
-
Hang in there, guys! We're still waiting for my husband's green card too. NOA1 date of May 1st, so 2 weeks from today will be the one year mark that they've been in possession of all his info for AOS. We put in a 2nd service request at the end of March and got a response from CSC saying that supposedly his case is currently being adjudicated and will have some sort of answer in 45 days... Well, we'll see if that's true! But, at least it wasn't the typical "we'll get to it when we can" response! But keep bugging them! And your Representatives/ Senators!
I'm so surprised how "fast" this faster processing has been at CSC! LOL (sarcasm!) I've been seeing people approved after 3 months with an interview. I'm thinking at this point, if we could have an interview and a gc in 3 months it sounds better than waiting a YEAR!
-
On March 28th, we put in a 2nd e-service request for my husband's AOS, which has been pending for nearly 1 year (Noa1 May 1, 2012, CSC Transfer 5/25/12). We finally got a written response from them, saying that his case is currently being adjudicated and we should have some sort of response within 45 days (whether that's an approval, denial or a RFE).
Is it true? Or could it possibly be that that is a general response, to get us off their backs?
The first service request we put in Feb came back with a response of, we'll get to it when we get to it.
I sure hope that it's not just a general response! We did send in all the info to our representative, who then assigned an immigration liaison in Washington D.C. But we have not heard back anything from them as of today...
Fingers crossed for some good news!

Ugh! I confirmed incorrectly. I was not paying attention and just went by the instructions you posted in your first post.
Those are for employment based EAD renewals. You should have sent it to Chicago: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=73bbb6f2cae63110VgnVCM1000004718190aRCRD
I hope they forward it to the correct place, and everything goes smoothly for you. Sorry for saying yes, even if you had already sent it. I hate giving the wrong info to anyone. Hopefully if anyone else sees this thread, they can get the correct address now. Chicago for category (C )(9 ), unless you are renewing an employment based EAD!
Oh well, I think they did forward it on. We got an NOA1 for it and a receipt number, and I believe that came from Missouri. Well, it's a got MSC at the front of the receipt number.

I'll do yours, if you do mine.
Deal!!!
(but really can't believe we've been waiting this long!)

Yes.
I wonder if the USCIS takes volunteer workers? Perhaps I could exchange work time for expediting my app.
Haha I wish!!! Though, I suppose we'd be biased for our own petitions

Wooooow that seems quite ridiculous!! I hope they can get through all this stuff and get back to what they should be working on originally
