Well, I put in a service request online (It said for i-485 as one of the options so hopefully they don't assume it's for an employment related green card) and when we called last week for an update, they said that there was already a service request in, so hopefully (fingers crossed) they'll look at it. We did it online on Feb 6th.

We're still waiting for our AOS to be looked at... it's currently sitting at the CSC, just waiting to be looked at. Tick Tock. lol

  7. 5 months since we filed AOS. Still waiting. But having EAD/AP helps ease the pain of waiting on the green card.

  10. received out AOS NOA letter today with a laundry list of things we need to bring! most of which we had sent with AOS packet. =/ i know it may have been asked a thousand times BUT can anyone please tell me if we must submit and pay for another medical exam here in the USA even tho he just did his medical, all vaccines including flu shot plus chest xrays in london on march 07-2011? there seems to be evidence that we do not BUT will USCIS accept this fact?

  15. is anyone else from the U.K. who's here in the US extremely allergic to mosquito bites?! My poor husband is... those bites swell up and hurt him so bad! :(

    1. Wishing on a Star

      Wishing on a Star

I wonder if it's cuz they're just not used to our type of mosquitoes and don't have a tolerance built up like we do?

  17. i wish we'd get somethign about the AOS

  18. Wow, DMV.. .what a ballache! Had to make 3 trips (about 25 miles each way) so Hugh could get the papers needed to apply for a driver's license. Still not done, needs to go for the road test in 2 weeks. Yikes

He took the written theory/ road signs test today which he passed. he was then assigned a driver's license number which was now used to schedule his road test. so confusing! lol. but he figures that it looks better when he applies for jobs (soon) to have a US driver's license instead of waiting for a green card, which we have months of waiting left for.

kristin, hugh did have his UK driver's license along. since we don't have his green card yet, they wanted documents saying he was here legally. they looked at his UK passport with I-94, and we brought in the NOA1 for his AOS and the biometrics appointment letter (with the stamp on it that it was taken). but then they also wanted to see our marriage license and his UK driver's license. fingers crossed that's all they really needed. lol

  21. Was it dumb that we didn't apply for AP? He'll be able to travel out of country once he gets his green card (in a few months?), right? :S

    1. Wishing on a Star

      Wishing on a Star

Ok, that's good to know! i figure if we're not gonna (hopefully have to) go anywhere til he gets his green card than why fill out more paperwork. especially since we don't have an "official" out of the country trip planned.
