  1. I wish 60 days was the max posisible but they told us 2 weeks to 6 months. If I knew already that it would be 60 max it would be worlds easier. I've been searching here on VJ and I find people that have been in AP for 2.5 years and still waiting. I've also found some that waited 3 weeks, 6 weeks, 2 months, 5 months and pretty much everything under the sun. It was a lot like searching for medical information on google when you have a sore throat and seeing all the scary search results and wishing you hadn't just searched for that. We've got a kid here that is an American Citizan and if this were to go on endlessly that would seem quite unfair and frankly inhumane. We just have to keep telling ourselves 2 weeks to 6 months because that's what they told us. It's so hard to get out of my mind right now I just eat and sleep it. Hopefully I can forget about it and move on until it works itself out. We live in Bali and that's pretty cool, I think a lot of people wouldn't mind living in Bali. It's really just the lack of access to friends and family especially for our little one. I feel as though she is being robbed of a huge part of her family and a lot of experiences and as a father that is very difficult for me, but realistically she is only newly 1 year old and it won't matter if she gains access to the rest of her family and other western experiences for quite a while. I also feel like my family is being robbed as well. I am 33, have lots of cousins and a sister and until 3 months ago I was the first and only member of our large family to have offspring, everyone is excited to meet her and my wife. If this process takes a few weeks it won't be that big a deal realistically, it's the whole lack of control over your life and little one's life that is F'd up.

Sorry to hear about the AP. that is so very frustrating. Agree about the lack of control feeling.

Stay strong. Pray that visa is fast as possible.

  2. how that p90x worked out for you?? did you see a major difference like they are claiming??

Dropped 50 pounds of fat in 90 days. Picked up muscle mass.

I kept strict on food intake. Protein around 50% of intake.

This last year (stressing over visa for wife, and 10 trips overseas to visit her) has been tough.

Need to refocus on the program and do another. Not done yet but in progress.

  3. i would like to ask if where can i actually get my passport copy notarize? i need to get it notarize for my W7... thanks in advance

    Do not use a bank.

Go to USA embassy. Get a USA notary.

The IRS will reject if you use a local notary.

IRS want a USA notary. Believe me I know. They refused our W7 due to a local (indo) notary. USA embassy can notarize for you.

  4. Hello everyone..My hubby sent our AOS and ds230 docs, on the 27th and 28th respectively..anyone here, received any notice from NVC yet?! and also, I am just being so paranoid...as per UPS tracking, my aos was received by Desmond, and my ds230 by someone whose name (last name maybe) is AMEN!? does he exist? I'm worried, if he even exists, and i hope is not an outsider :( anyone...

They just received last week? The week before a national holiday? Give them more time.

  6. My plan so far is wake up early and just work out like a crazy person at home and around the house. The nearest gym is not in a walkable distance.

Get an exercises program to do at home.

I have done "p90x" twice. Started "insanity". Got my wife a program from there also. Keep fit at home. Also the forums there have like minded exercise people so you can get support and ideas from them

  7. You stated you guys not a couple.

IMO. Were you to quickly file either k1 or cr1 it would only validate the original denial. You guys attempted to commit fraud by immigrating on the applied for visa.

You should definitely document all contact to be able to provide proof of ongoing relationship, should you choose to marry

  8. I was curious if this would be necessary considering you have a full English copy of the same certificate signed and stamped by the same authorities. The whole situation is odd to begin with, but yeah, it's probably best to avoid another RFE and just have someone put a certifying translator's statement on a copy of the first (English-language) certificate you got, haha. Oh the absurdity of these things.

It absolutely absurd. Remember you are dealing with a government official that sorts paper all day, every day, and does not care about you or your family. If it were me, I would include the English and a translator statement.

Remember, they do not care. They sort paper. Paper is their friend. Make them happy. Move on. IMO.

  9. I did sent original copy.

In bangladesh they dont just pring once copy. When someone ask for it then they will print issue a copy. When I ask for it, I asked it to be in english. I can get one in bengali if I want. Seems like I will be needing one in bengali. I will get one in bengali and send them. Now wait for another month =(

If you get and send certificate in Bengali. Ensure that you include an English translation of the original Bengali document and also a sworn translator statement attesting to the correctness of the translation. (throwing thIs at you so you don't get another RFE....good luck ).
