I really think you sent a lot more than required and that all the other evidence you are prepared to supply at your eventual interview will 'fill in the blanks'. Someone else will chime in, but I (am a senior) submitted our house deed, recent bank statements showing joint names, joint credit card proof, 3 yrs of irs joint filing statements, and the required certificates of marriage, birth etc. I am also a worry -wort. I think you are fine! I had biometrics on oct. 8 and have my interview for feb. 1... yes, i will bring a shopping bag full of documents because I am a worry-wort. I really think you're more than fine.

Hi August filers, I had my biometrics in Ft. Myers, Florida on Oct. 8 and now I have just received my appointment for interview in Fort Myers on Feb. 1. Studying home-made flashcards like recommended on this helpful site. Can anyone with experience say that they will NEVER ask for more than one answer to the questions unless the question requires "two" or "three" items? I am using this one answer technique for studying. Good luck to everyone. If anyone has done their interview in Fort Myers and has any advice, I am happy to hear it, such as did they offer an oath ceremony at the same place?
Thank you all

Hello, my biometrics was in Ft. Myers on Oct. 8, and i received the letter with my interview date also in Fort Myers for Feb 1st. Studying with my homemade flashcards as someone else suggested, choosing one answer to respond. Can anyone confirm that the interview NEVER require more than one answer unless it is a question that specifies to name two things?

I was in your same situation and applied as a married resident 3 1/2 years. I included photocopies of marriage certificate divorce documents, bank statements, a photo copy of our joint credit card showing both cards in the same name, and our three years of tax returns that That he sent for from the IRS the tax summary showing joint tax returns. We are seniors and had previous marriages. I also sent a copy of our home deed. I know that I probably didn't have to send these things until the interview, but like you, I am used to sending piles and piles of evidence and I couldn't resist and no one minded and I now have my interview date for February 1 so it all went smoothly. I had my biometrics on October 8. So I'm at the interview I will simply bring the originals of all the things that I sent with my application and of course everything else they required like my passport, green card, etc. It can't hurt to include a few extra things.

I had my biometrics in Fort Myers, Florida, on October 8. I have an NBC number. Since then my online case status has said in line for interview. On Dec. 28, i received the text and the online case status has changed to 'interview has been scheduled, we are mailing you a letter". Can anyone tell me how long now that letter will take and also how far out the interview might be? I don't know if it will be Fort myers or Tampa. I live South of Sarasota. I apologize I have not put my stats in your statistics thing. Has anyone in this Florida area had an interview and oath at the same time or know if Fort Myers does interviews? Good luck to everyone and Happy New Year!

I have been through biometrics and am in line for an interview, so i can tell you what i sent. I sent the most recent statements of our credit account (joint) showing mortgage payments as well. also copy of deed to house purchase jointly, in other words, all the financial things. I didn't send all that other stuff like before... insurance, etc. I sent the past 3 years of the IRS tax transcript that we sent for in the mail. I am not aware that you CAN get electronic transcripts so maybe someone else can answer that question. at that time we did not have the latest one available, but I have it for the interview. Cheers!

Hello N400 filers... like a lot of you, I check that online case status site once or twice a day. Just wondering when they do give you an interview date, will the message change from "in line for interview" to "we have mailed you a letter" or something like that? Thank you, just wondering. Good luck to you all.

You have to save the form, then go to saved documents and open it then you will find you can type on it and save it, and print it. I hope someone else can explain it better than me, but i had the same issue until i realized this.

Cant you save the form, then open it in a way that you can edit it?

Thank you, Kamex! I will definitely report any updates.

I had my biometrics appointment on October 6 and today my case status just changed to "In line for interview". Or are people just not entering it in their statistics?
I am an "NBC" in Florida. Is this unusual for the case status to change so quickly? Thanks anyone! Also if someone wants to add me to the timeline let me know because I can't figure that one out. My timeline is updated on my profile.
Thank you!

@frostiana
Best thing you could do is call and speak with a L1 officer they'll most likely give you accurate information or you could get an InfoPass appointment and go ask in person.
Just my two cents...
Thankyou Kamex good idea!

Hello August Filers, is there a way for me to track the August filers that are living in Florida, I am in Southwest Florida and just had biometrics done yesterday at the Fort Myers Application Support Office. IF I understood correctly, there will be an office in Fort Myers that will be doing other services (hopefully the Interview?) so that our area would not have to go to Tampa. Does anyone know more about this? Also I would like to follow Florida timelines if there is a way to do this. Thank you! I received my noa on Sep. 7 and had my biometrics was scheduled for October 7. I walked in one day early. Good luck to all Florida and East Coast people dealing with Hurricane Matthew today.

Well just an update, I did "walk in" to the office in Fort Myers one day earlier than my appointment, mainly due to the hurricane coming and hoping to get back home before any weather made the drive dangerous. They were actually not busy (this was yesterday) and I was in and out in 20 minutes. This office is an application support office and I think they only do fingerprinting and photo's there (biometrics) as opposed to any type of interviewing. So it is possible to 'walk-in' at Fort Myers for biometrics, however, I did have a good excuse with the weather situation. Good luck to everyone and to all in Florida and the East coast watching the weather today.

You must read carefully the required documents and see which ones apply to your situation. If you have joint bank accounts, own a house, etc. We sent 3 years of IRA tax transcripts showing our income tax filed jointly. We sent the copy of my husbands passport for his identification, and our marriage certificate (a copy). Every situation is different, but make sure you have something from each request in the required documents. Good Luck and if you have other questions post them!

I saw that too (appointments only). I was going to try but I think I will just book a hotel the night before instead. I don't want to ruffle any feathers! My appt. is for 9 a.m. and it's a 2 hour drive if the construction and traffic is flowing... i'd rather just stay nearby and be there on time and composed.

Has anyone tried a biometric early walk-in in Ft. Myers, Florida? This is where my appointment is booked. Thank you for any answers!
-
Again best thing is to carefully read N400 instructions and List of required documents, and submit what best applies to your situation. If you are applying as a 3-year marriage (not 5 year resident) you must supply some evidence that you are a couple, so the options listed include joint tax returns, joint home ownership, joint bank account, etc.
-
Follow instructions for N-400 form. You do not need to send any evidence such as tax transcripts or bank statements or anything else.
-
You do not need all that extra evidence this time. Follow exactly what is listed on the n400 instructions. Only your two passport style photos for photos. We sent for tax transcript for 3 years and included that instead of entire tax form. We included two months of bank statements showing joint accounts, house mortgage etc. I clipped everything together with a clamp clip and mailed it at the post office two business day delivery. Only about 8 dollars! Keep a complete copy! I am sheduled for biometrics now. Hopefully more will chime in that are further along.

Progress.. I have my biometrics appointment on October 7. Fort Myers, Florida. Got my first NOA on Sept. 7 and the notice for biometrics today. Good luck everyone!
-
No because you don't have a U.S. passport. You send the front and back photocopy of your greencard. If you are married and applying as married over 3 years, then you send passport of your spouse. Hope this makes sense but I'm sure more people with more experience than me will chime in.
-
Thanks guys... but my question is, how long after the fingerprint appointment did you receive the NOA giving you the date for the interview appointment? As soon as I have that date, I can know whether I can book the flight to Canada for the wedding in mid January. I know it varies, but the NOA is not part of people's timelines I don't think. Any other input on that thanks!
And good luck to you all for a speedy last leg of this journey!
