  1. GUITARJAM: I was wondering if you already scheduled your family for a CFO seminar. I was reading the required documents to bring for the seminar. One is a photocopy of the immigration data summary. I have an early post here to ask how it looks like. It was posted here that it is a white sheet attached to the envelope and cannot be opened. If it is attached to the envelope and we cannot open it, how are we able to bring a photocopy of it to the seminar? Please, enlighten me if you have any idea. Thank you very much. I appreciate your help.

  2. AS long as you put a delivery address, you're fine.

When I was not sure if I did it right, I did chat with a representative. There was a link I had to go to check if I did register correctly.

  3. Hi VJ family. I just want to ask if any of you are in the same situation as I am or have experienced this situation. My parents petitions are still both at NVC since April. My mom's case is already completed, waiting for an interview. They can't schedule her yet because my dad's case is not completed yet. My dad's DS260 was put on SR 9/2/15. On 10/01/15, I was able to got a hold of a supervisor and was able to have the DS260 reviewed that day. Not over the phone though. I checked the website and hot 3 N/As. I thought it was a case completion at that time. I called the next day to verify, rep told me that the DS260 had been reviewed but the case is under the process of being reviewed for completeness. I asked how long the wait is, rep unfortunately it doesn't have a time frame. I called again 10/05 and today. I asked about my dad's case, same answer but this time I asked if I can speak to a supervisor. Rep said no, very rude. I asked that I be put back on queue to wait for one and said no. Rep told me that I have 2 options: supervisor will call me or get an email about case status. I declined both because I knpw how terrible both ways are. I don't know what to do. It sounds like an "AP" to me. The only thing I can think of is my dad who traveled on a business visa in 1981. His visa that time was just stamped on his passport and just 6 numbers. I tried to put those numbers when I was filling out his DS260 but it won't take it. So, I put "I don't know" answer on that part. Honestly, I really don't know the answer until I came across an article recently about visa numbers. I want to speak with a supervisor to investogate further anouy my dad's case, what these reps keep saying reviewing for completeness. I may ne able yo help or influence decision by sending furyher documentation. Bit, they won't let me.... Any thoughts? Anybody with the same situation with 3 N/As but not CC?

  4. Just wanted to share my experience... I got a hold of a supervisor on 10/01/15 @ 0830 EST, a female sipervisor. I didn't pay attention to the name (sorry) but she was very nice. My mom's case had been completed since August. My dad's, I am not sure. I see 3 N/As on the website but when I called to verify today, the rep told me that it is still in the process of being reviewed...Okay, going back, my dad's case was put on Supervisor review Sept 2. I submitted his DS260 in July. So yesterday, I spoke to a supervisor. She asked me a few questions about my dad: service in the military, adoption, criminal records, residence outside of the country since age 16. I answered no to all the inquiries. Then, digging deeper she said that I need to submit a copy of my birth cert being the petitioner. At the back of my mind I was like "What?!". But she did notify the supervisor at the review department yesterday. I called 0830 EST. When I logged in on the website to check for progress, I saw 3 N/As. I was happy. But like I mentioned earlier, it still doesn't mean a case review. I asked the rep if I am missimg a document, sje said no. Now, I am torn on whether or not I need to send the document the supervisor told me about. So, it's kind of hamnging in the air for now until it gets completed. I am hopeful that it'll be next week.

  5. USCIS sends all submitted documents to NVC once approved which later on sends to US Embassies for interview.

My thoughts exactly...I called NVC early this morning and I was lucky enough to speak to a supervisor. I told her about my dad's DS260 form that has not been reviewed since July 9. She told me that I need to send a copy of my birth cert since I am the petitioner. They should have a copy of it from the package received from USCIS back in April 2015. I was surprised to find out that I am missing this document. To think that everytime I called NVC for the past 5 months, they keep telling me that I am not missing a document, the only thing left is for the DS260 to be reviewed. She told me that she will notify the supervisor at the review department to look for may dad's form. Around 6pm, I checked the website and I saw 3 N/As. Around 8pm, I called to verify if it is indeed complete. The rep told me that they are still verifying completeness of my dad's visa application and my mom's as well.

  6. My parents immigration visa applications has been at NVC for 5 months now. My mom's case is already completed. My dad's DS260 still needs to be reviewed. 14 more days and it'll be 3 months since I submitted the his DS260. It has been escalated to a supervisor review since Sept 2...30 days to review?! One excuse says they are still reviewing April/May/June because of the technical glitch. The few times I have called, they didn't give this excuse. I would have been mad because my mom's DS260 was submitted in July and was reviewed. It's been hard trying ro reach for a supervisor because they also have an excuse. This is not fair, not just for me but for everybody else who are waiting!!! Patience patience patience....I do have that but this is just taking sooo long....

  7. Hi! I am just wondering if contacting your senator gives a boost to your case? I am so desperate!!! I called NVC and got a representative to speak to, I didn't have to wait that long to get connected. I asked about my dad's case, same old lines. So, I asked if I can speak to a supervisor. She put me on hold. A few minutes later, she got back with me and told me that the supervisore just stepped out. Then, she told me that the supervisor sent out a note to the review department to get the DS260 reviewed faster. My dad's DS260 sat on that department for almost 2 months with nothing. It was escalated to a supervisor review because it hasn't been reviewed uet and needs attention. Now, it's going back to that same department where it sat for a long time. I asked that I SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR, she never got me one. I honestly don't know what to do. THIS IS NOT FAIR AT ALL!!! IT'S REALLY HEARTBREAKING WAITING PATIENTLY FOR CASE COMPLETIONS.:( :( :(

  8. Hello all! I just want to ask the validity of medical exams. I know it is 6 months. But, when does it start though? Like after you receive your immunization? After day 2 ( Medical exam @ SLEC)? Do they count the month you had your medical exam? My parents had their medical exam August 18 and 19. The receptionist or nurse (I really do not know) told my mom that they have to leave before January 1, 2016 or else their medical exam will expire and they have to redo the exam again. Please, enlighten me. Thank you.

  9. Hi All!!! I guess there are a few of us who are lucky enough to get approved at USCIS quick. I have petitioned both my parents, PD is 2/24/15 and 2/26/15 Nebraska service cntr. Both petitions got approved 3/30/15, I was really surprised!!! I already conditioned my mind that the approval would take about 4-5 months. When I petitioned my hubby to co.e here in the US, it took 4 months before aproval at USCIS. I have even seen IR1/CR1 get approved in only 16 days!!! So, don't lose hope!!! Your approvals will come soon. :)

I am stuck at NVC right now, still awaiting case completion for both petitions. The system was done for months so I had to wait. My case has been with NVC since April. Was able to get case number by the end of April and was able to pay the AOS fee. The IV bill took awhile. I had to pay by mail for it.

  10. Hi VJ Family!!!

I just have a few questions to ask. So, I filled out my dad and mom's DS260 on July 9 and July 10 respectively. Just 4 hours apart. I just received confirmation from US DoS that my dad's visa application has been sent for review to NVC. So, does that mean I start counting the 30 day review today?! Not July 9 when I completed and submitted the IV application? I am just curious to know since I already counted July 9 as my Day 1 for the 30-day review by NVC. I have yet to receive confirmation for my mom's application. Any thoughts?
