Asking for a friend (no, really)...
My friend came with a fiancee visa from Mexico, and brought her 2 kids with her. She and her new husband consulted a lawyer, and they believe that, in order to get more money, the lawyer told them that SHE needed to file first, then her kids would do it. So she already has a ssn but she doesn't know if the lawyer filed the kids documents. The thing is that she and her husband are not getting along well, they've been together for 2 years and she insults her and she's a bit afraid of him. I think it's a really toxic relationship, and will not end well. Anyway, my question is what if she takes her kids and gets a job (which he doesn't let her do because he says if she does taxes he will have to pay a lot of money), but what about the kids' documents? Can she keep them here and file to make them residents? I believe she would need to be a citizen first and to do that, she needs to wait for 5 years, but how can she keep the kids here? With a tourist visa and renewing every 6 months?
Thanks a bunch!

Hi!
I became a citizen in December, and I applied along with my kids, but they did not receive a certificate. Where do I get one? I'm trying to get their passports and they want the certificate.
Thank you in advance!!

Oh I've had my account there from the very beginning. My 2 sons and I were requested to ASC in December, but my daughter was not. I called USCIS, first they said I should bring her to the apptmnt, then they said I shouldn't. I took her with me just in case. Nope, they didn't take her fingerprints. They said it was ok. My NOA is Nov 14. I have been waiting, it's been 4.5 months, and I just received her appointment. Maybe they were reviewing my case and they just realized that her fingerprints were not taken, and then we'll need to wait another 3 or 4 months...

That's what they told me. We had our appointment in December, my 2 sons and I, but not my daughter. They said it's normal. Yesterday I got her appointment for April!!! I wonder if that will delay my case another 3 months?? Does anybody know? Thanks!!

Would you remember who it was? I would like to ask what they did. I also included of course a copy of approved I-129F. Each of the forms lacking a signature has a NOA explaining the problem. Should I keep them all or returning them as they are just with the signature?

i did check that, do you think there could be a problem if they sign? what about the other thing? is that why you are asking if I checked box c?
-
I sent three separate checks, but one check is usually ok. Attach it to the primary applicant's AOS documents (i.e., the K1's documents).
Hi everyone!
I got my package back
The kids needed to sign too, not only me as the person filling out the form, but them too, I understand that, my bad. What confuses me is that after asking me to correct and send back, the NOA says:
Based on the information you provided, your priority date could not be established. Please resubmit your application with the proper documentation to the address listed on the bottomo of this notice.
The following documents may be provided:
Your original form I-130, (Petition for Alien Relative) if you are filing concurrently; or
Your original form I-140, (Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker) if you are filing concurrently; or
Your original form I-360, (Petition for Ameriasian, Widow(er), or Special Immigrant) if you are filing concurrently; or
A copy of your Form I-797, (Notice of Action) if the I-130, I-140, I-360, or I-526 petition has already been filed/approved; or
Other evidence that an immigrant visa petition has been filed/approved on your behalf
I am not submitting any of those forms, only I-129F and then I-485. Can you please advise?
Thanks!

ok, different envelopes with each case but only one check you said, right? inside my envelope or attached to the bunch of envelopes?

Should I have one folder for each of the kids and one for me or all documents of the same kind in groups? And therefore several cover pages or only one?
-
The same # is behind the I-94 of our 3 passports, isn't that my A#? The one I should use on all the forms???
ok I just checked it and it is the same #, on NOA2 and behind my I-94. I will not use that one for the kids then. Thanks again

I have another question: My kids got on their passports when we entered the US the same A# as me, only my 8 year old kids, my 18 year old son does not have that number written on his passport, should I take that same number to use on the forms? can someone help please? I wonder if anyone ever checks this forum anymore thanks!

Do K-2 need ALL the forms separately except I-864? Thanks!

Hi!
Can you please share your experience on the vaccines you needed for AOS if you are over 40? I have no record of any immunizations but I read I shouldn't need them all because of my age? Thanks!
-
Well you could have gotten them all and form DS-3025, even when applying for a K-1 visa. I wanted to ask you if you had seen a civil surgeon already
-
Hey Atenea, did you get all your vaccines in Mexico?
-
They asked for the closed envelope you get from DHL, my fiance was with me so I felt pretty comfortable, they just asked for my passport, the stapled for I-94, then we paid 6 dlls, the man at the cash was very upset about everything and it was just 6:30 am what a way to start a day but whatever, that was all. Just one person in line before me. They didnt even went through my stuff to see if I had anything I shouldnt like food or something like that, we drove through the POE, I dont know if flying is any different and I suppose every POE is different, which one are you using to enter? Good luck!
-
Really? Then for whom does it take up to 17 years? Brothers and sisters?
-
And once you are a USC how long would it take? Thanks!
-
Not for K-1, not until AOS (adjustment of status)

Hola Maria! Primero te casas o primero sacas el SSN?
-
It sounds like you havent received an invitation letter because it clearly states how there, and if you made an appointment without an invitation letter you will not be able to attend it, did you receive it? Good luck!

I am traveling to have my interview with my twins, who are 8. Do I need 2 separate notarized letters? Or just one including both names and a certified copy? A translation too? Where can I get this info? Or some number to call? This is Juarez consulate, but I can't find info on this matter on their page. Thanks a lot!!

How to obtain pardon?
in Tourist Visas
Posted
Hello!
So my brother, when he was a teenager, tried to cross the Tijuana border with my cousins, but he left his Mexican passport/visa at my aunt's home (he was visiting from central Mexico), and they were already in line to cross. My cousins thought he could just say he was a US citizen, and he got caught. Every time he needs to renew his visa is so much trouble but he gets it, but this time they told him he qualifies for a pardon. What is the form we need to fill out or where do we start? Thank you so much for your help!! :)
