  1. hi everyone. i'm planning on applying for ead form i-765 without applying for aos and ap. i have to pay $380 for it compares to the package $1070 for aos, ead and ap which i can't apply yet. well, i'm in a hurry to work. is it a wise decision considering the $380 i'll be paying for it? i am worried if i would apply within the 90 days of the validity of my k-1 visa the ead that would be given to me will also expires along with the expiration of my i-94 and there goes my $380. i hope somebody would enlighten me about this. thank you so much.

  2. hi aphrodite7. that's true some pinoys are snobs when they are in the US. but surely my friend (she's in woodland) and I are definitely not snobs. we're just ordinary girls that's maybe why. i'll be flying in on monday but my poe will be LA. we'll be staying there for a week for the thanksgiving. i would be honored to be considered your friend soon. my fiance's from citrus heights too. we'll both be staying there. it would be awesome to have a friend nearby when i am just new in the area.God bless you.

  3. Hello everyone at VJ! :)

At the time of St. Luke's Medical Examination, could I enter the building to be with my fiancée until it is time for her medical examination? Or is nobody else allowed?

Are you supposed to attach the 2x2 Visa Photo onto the DS-156 by yourself? Or does the consular officer do it?

Your friends at Visa Journey! :)

    Mike and Marinor

my advice, attach the 2x2 valid visa photo before going to the embassy.it would slow you down if you don't attach beforehand. others who didn't attached it are left behind outside at the gate going in the embassy. the embassy agents would tell you to paste the photos first before they will allow you to go in. this is based on my personal experience.

  4. this is what i only know of. every municipality all over the philippines has a local civil registrar. this is where we get our local civil registrar birth certificate. this is the local copy of the birth certificate. the NSO also has a copy of the birth certificate which is the one needed in the embassy.

anyway, so that you'll fiancee will not travel far to get the parental consent form, maybe she could ask their local civil registrar about it. by the way, this is my first time to hear about that kind of form (parental consent form). i thought a parental consent is a letter from the parents giving their consent, permitting their daughter to get married even on a very young age. i might be wrong about this since i don't have a vast knowledge on the matter.

    good luck.

  5. i asked a friend doctor about it when i was about to take the medical exam coz i took a chest x-ray a month prior to my medical to be on the safe side that i won't have a problem regarding my x-ray in st. luke's. she told me, she's exposed to radiation and xrays almost like everyday. and it's not a big of a problem.

  6. For my experience here is the list of documents I submitted:

    1. original passport and 1 photocopy of it

    2. NVC letter with the MNL case number. (scanned and sent to me by my fiance through email)

    3. SLEC online registration form. downloaded, answered and printed.here's the link:

    http://www.slec.ph/us/registration/

    4. 3 pcs US visa picture - white background, with both ears uncovered and without earrings.

    5. copy of the appointment letter for the interview from the embassy

    6. Fee for the medical

    if applicable:

    - Annulment Papers

    - copy of past communicable/serious disease from the health care institution you were admitted or treated (if applicable)

    Things to bring:

    1. ballpen

    2. jacket

    3. bottled water but there are water fountains in each floor level

    4. hair tie/pantali sa buhok. but they have their own hair clips. this is for the xray.

this were the things/documents i brought with me. let's hear from the others. btw, my medical was last oct. 3, 2011.

  7. the agent my fiance hired had my last name written wrongly in our I-129f. all our noa1, noa2 and nvc letter were the same. i was worried about it for our interview in the embassy. luckily, for the embassy they will base with my DS Forms and passport. So, when my visa came out, it had my correct name. Thanks God for that.

  8. My fiance has a child who he does not plan on taking with him to the U.S.. We did list the childs name on the application but we are unable to provide a birth certificate for the child since my fiance and his ex-gf are not in good terms. What will happen then? Should we have not listed the child on the application? Will this delay the process that we don't provide the proper documents?

just my two cents. since your fiance is the father, why not get the birth certificate directly from the NSO. he has the right since he is the father.

  9. there's really no time specific when will the visa be released. it really depends with the embassy. but if there's no problem the waiting time would be 3-10 days. some waited for a week or two, others a month , while others who were under AP, they waited for months.just email the embassy maybe around after 2-3 days so you will have an update on the status of the visa.

  10. There was a mistake too when i filled up my 156 online and found it after I printed it,before I make any move or decision I called the embassy and ask them what the best thing I can do and they said do another 156 online, and disregard the old one.So I filled up another 156 and I make sure no more mistake.,.. :)

100% agreed with this. you can answer and print another 156.disregard the old one.

  11. Day 1 (Monday) arrived at around 11:30am done at 3pm

Day 2 (Tuesday) arrived at 1:30pm done at 6pm

i agree that some of those who came in the morning especially on a monday, will not be finished until in the afternoon. because most of the people will come in the morning. i suggest come around lunch time. and you'll be finished before 4pm.

  12. Thank you!! I just wonder where it goes, cause my computer didn't work on downloading it correctly, i tried in public net cafe, i goes same even i ask help already about the instructions.Yea its 3 pages when i printed it still shows the RED ink note...

    try internet explorer version 7.0.

  13. lmao, i had the bpi receipt with me..i showed them but they said for me to keep it. i entered the embassy coz i have the documents required :D

my bpi receipt was asked at the window where they'll give the priority number. it was stapled together with the ds forms. and i dropped them together in window 39. God bless u dean de. i'm sure... they will release your visa as soon as they'll receive it. congratulations on your visa approval.
