  1. i think your mother in law is right. why are you sleeping over at your friend's house??? your husband allow you to do this?? Respect her and abide by her rules.

i once or twice sleep over just to catch up on old times. but that's it. and then, she hired me to babysit her son which i need to sleep over there cause her work starts at 5:30am while her husband starts at 6:30AM.so, i need to sleep there for 3 days. i was paid for this.i grabbed it for extra income.yes, my husband allowed me to do this.

  2. hi,

i just want to ask if there's any law that states that my husband should not abandon her mother (senior citizen)under any circumstances? my mother in law was petitioned when she was 65 years old. she's now 72 years old. she's a very domineering woman and she wants to dominate our lives including me. she wants me to ask permission from her if i want to sleep over at my friend's house and when i babysit my friend's son for extra income. she said, she is part of the family and she's also responsible for me. so, that's why i need her permission which by the way if i would had asked her permission, she said, she wouldn't let me. i, of course, had asked my husband and he gave me his permission.

anyway, my husband and i are thinking of living separately. i had heard from my mother in law before that she could call the police, if she's abandoned by my husband.because she is a senior citizen and petitioned by my husband. is this really true?

  3. Yeah...I was there when my wife applied for her new passport. The DFA told her she needs the CFO ceminar before she can apply. Which is ok with me.....because now she will not need to do that when she gets her visa.

ohhhh. okay. that must be a new requirement. stand corrected. thanks for this info.

  5. Yes....she must attend the CFO seminar to apply for her passport.

is that a new requirement now? i got mine(passport) without any cfo seminar. but i went to the cfo seminar after i got my US visa. it is a requirement (in my thinking) in the airport. they would not allow you to take off, without cfo seminar.

well, if department of foreign affair (dfa) requires it, which it wasn't during the time i got my passport, then, i think she must attend the seminar.

  6. I dont even know where to start, i just got my noa2 via email today, it was approved! But i have many questions and my situation is very unique.

I am a american citizen, im now 19 but when i was 18 i met a girl online and dated her for 10 months b4 flying to the Philippines to marry her, which i did. While i was there i got her pregnant. A month later i flew back to the states to start filing my petition, which i have already done. here is all my questions, please please answer them if you can.

1.What does the noa2 even do, like did the california service center who was handeling my case send my case to manila? did they send it too some nvc building in the U.S.?

2.I herd they are now going to be sending me a packet, how long will it take to get that and is it coming from manila or california?

3.What all is included in this packet? Id like to know everything.

4.When im sponsering her i wont have enough money so im having my grandfather co sponser, what all will he and i need to do, what will they need from us?

5.My wife dosent have her passport yet, she has everythign ready but she must attend a seminar in manila b4 they will give her one, will this be a problem at the interview?

6.Will her being pregnant be a problem at the interview?

7.I herd they are super picky, how can i make sure she passes that interview without fail?

8.Where will this interview be takign place?

9.What all does she need to bring?

10.If the baby is born just after her interview do i have to start a paetition for it and wait again?

11.If its born b4, are the going to deny her and wonder why they were not told about it?

12.What do i need to do to get my child legally over here to the U.S.?

13.Can she get the babies passport from where she lives in the Philippines or does she have to go all the way back to manila?

14.Does she need to get all kinds of vaccinations b4 she steps foot in america? Are they going to rob me blind with $200 shots and vaccinations?

15.Does the baby need to get that too b4 its allowed to fly?

    17.How much do passports cost?

    hi,

i want to help you. but i am not familiar with spousal visa and have no experience of having a child and most especially a child of a US citizen. I don't have any idea or knowledge about it either.

but i do know the answer to some of your questions. so here it is:

5.My wife dosent have her passport yet, she has everythign ready but she must attend a seminar in manila b4 they will give her one, will this be a problem at the interview?

Answer: your wife needs a passport for the interview. this is where they place the US visa. this is a site for first time applicants for passport:

    first time applicant for passport

i never heard of passport applicant having to go to a seminar. you just need to submit requirements and have personal appearance. pay the passport fee, have picture taken and then wait for the passport. please check on the site above for more detailed infos.

6.Will her being pregnant be a problem at the interview?

Answer: I believe being pregnant is not a problem during the interview. there's some who thinks that this will be advantageous as this will "prove" that you have a bonafide marriage. but i heard that a consul might request for a dna testing. not sure though.

7.I herd they are super picky, how can i make sure she passes that interview without fail?

no one can be 100% sure that an applicant can pass and be given a visa. but just make sure to be ready with enough proofs and documentation that what you have is a bonafide marriage. prepare all necessary documents, photos, evidence to back up your claim. please refer at the guides here and i can suggest a site for you/wife to become a member.you can ask advice related to visa process on these sites. and member will try to answer you.

14.Does she need to get all kinds of vaccinations b4 she steps foot in america? Are they going to rob me blind with $200 shots and vaccinations?

I believe that immigrant visa applicants must undergo medical. some have waived vaccination shots due to religious beliefs. but regardless of whether you want to have vaccination shots or not, the medical fee is the same. so, pick your choice, get the vaccination shots and pay the medical fee or don't get the vaccination shots but still pay the same amount.

  7. My fiance(now husband) got married in Phils. In 1993.petitioned ex-wife and kids in 1997. Divorced in 2008 in US.We met 2010 and he petitioned me for k1. We got rfe twice for the confusion over his petition with ex wife. So, we made an imbra waiver as per request by uscis. We submitted his ex-wife's noa2 stating it was not k1 but Cr1 he filed for ex-wife.my husband too asked his ex-wife her A#. And also along with this petition,a divorce decree was submitted along the petition. I was never married so, there was no problem with my side.Load your petition with all necessary documents. Back up answers with supporting documents. Just like a question on previous petition. Attach noa2 or any related documents on this previous petition. But yes, you're bf can petition you as he is already a USC.good luck and god bless. Love will find a way.

  8. as for speaking "visayan" language with a fellow filipina is always a treat for me. my husband speaks tagalog and most of the people around us speak english. and sometimes, i wish to relax my mouth, tongue and brain from all this english. it's a good thing to practice english as it is an international language, but i just want to speak visayan when the one i'm talking with knows how to speak visayan language. isn't that a big of a wish?

  9. Consuls are very keen with poverty guidelines. if your latest tax return which is last year (2011) they would know you didn't reach 125% of the poverty guideline. they of course will ask for the recent pay stubs which reach the poverty guideline. i don't know cause, they surely ask for the latest tax return (2011) and they would look into it. if the years 2010, 2009 were the one not reaching the poverty guideline, there is a possibility they would overlook it. but last year... that's the one they will ask along with the affidavit of support, employer's certification, recent pay stubs. if i were you, i'll submit along with my affidavit of support, a co-sponsor's affidavit of support. just to be on the safer side. this is just my personal opinion.

  11. i'm not an expert with this topic. but i hear that retired people receiving pensions file their income tax yearly too. so, they have also 1040and have their 1099-R (like a w-2) and SSA-1099 for the social security benefit they receive.let's wait for those who have vast knowledge on this. but pretty sure with the 1099-R and SSA-1099 though. don't know with the disability and for that school allowance. maybe they give w-2 for that(school allowance)? it's a work, isn't it?

  12. When we're growing up, ice cream was a real treat. we have those during birthdays and on other special occasions. my dad or mom buy us ice cream. there's no credit from where i'm from. everything should be paid with cash. here in the US, my husband and I are crazy with haggen daz mango sorbet. we usually grab all whenever it's available. cause they are rarely on the rack.

  13. I can only speak from our place but I'm sure about the DOH program called DOTS.I worked before in our local rural health unit.treatment for TB is absolutely free. We call it "tutok gamutan".if u have a 2 or more weeks cough, the laboratory of the health center will automaticaly request for sputom exam.once ur positive, a letter will sent to patient for appointment .then, health worker from the barangay of the pt.accompany that patient to the health center.this health worker will be the patient's partner with the whole treatment.the health worker will monitor and make sure the patient take the medication.the whole treatment is absolutely free.
