  1. good vibes for all feb filers.. yes vsc is rolling. yay!!! hopefully it stays that way..

hmm.. can we actually have our shots done prior medical? what shots can we do? will they accept it?

I was about to post that q here too! We're getting our annual flu shot this May at the office and I wonder if I should have it or wait 'til my NOA2 comes? If do get my flu shot, should I ask a written note or certificate from our doc and will SLE accept it? Thanks! :)

  2. Barn and Cean -> i'm actually planning to take a few days off from work 2nd week of May to work on some of the requirements like NBI, police, CENOMAR, pictures etc. If CSC will continue with the pace they are right now, some Feb filers might be approved this month (May and mostly June). Keeping my fingers crossed! Anyhow, I want to be as pro-active and productive as possible, but I also want my documents to be new.

Btw, just throwing it out there. I've lived most of my life in the province, I've been living here in Manila the past 8 years. Do I need to get police clearances from my hometown in Bicol and the other city where I lived after 16 yrs? Or the one from Manila will suffice? Thanks in advance!

  3. yes after 3 months if all is good with me and my filipina ill marry her, and apply for resident visa, it just really shocked me how easy it is to live here in phil

Easy for most foreigners, a challenge for most locals. Lol! Us on the other hand have to apply for a visa, had to go through scrutiny and a long, expensive process. Most Filipinos (a family of 4) survive on $200/month, so for $800/month you will be living like a king. :)

  4. Sorry to hear that Sparky. :( Perhaps you could write a letter stating that you are to be deployed and would appreciate it if they could give the papers to her earlier so you both could still spend some time together.

From what I've read here, it is really difficult if a Filipina fiancee was previously married and was not able to get annulment or had her papers "changed/checked" before applying for a K1 visa. I suggest you talk to Marklovetina (a VJ member). I think Tina was previously married and had an annulment, I've read somewhere in one of her posts. She could probably hep you more than me.

Don't hate the whole Philippines, just the system or some of the screwed gov't officials. Most of us are nice and would want you (and your SO) to be happy. Wishing you the and your lady the best! :)
