K1 two year meeting requirement waiver? |

I know that this waiver is hard to get and we're nothing special, but I am in a social hardship predicament (I'm the US citizen) that makes meeting him physically very difficult. Long story short: I have sole physical custody of my two young small children. Their biological dad is not in the picture at all. It would create extreme hardship on them to get them on a plane going across the world to meet him. I have known him online for a decade and we fell in love. We want to be together and create a future. We are assuming the tourist visa would be denied outright as we have romantic intentions beyond visiting as friend/family. We are friends first of course, but the wait time for an interview is almost 2 years in his country (Turkey) to even be considered as a yes/no for the tourist visa. Would my situation being the sole physical custody parent of my 2 young children be considered extreme hardship for our meeting?

Hello everyone, I wanna ask something for my friend. My friend has applied to a language school in NYC and she has an appointment this week. I'm a green card holder, married to a USC and living in the USA almost a year now. I'm living in California. So, here's the thing; I paid my friend's passport delivery service online and on the receipt, it's my name and American home address. We are kinda freaking out because her agency that she's doing the visa process through said that having a friend in the US is an absolute denial. Is that true? I mean, I'm aware that no one can answer that 100% but what are the changes? Again, it's just the passport delivery service, nothing else. But her agency is insist to put my name on her DS-160 as "US Contacts". Neither I or my husband is sponsoring her. She's working in Turkey as an HR specialist and want to learn English to move up in her career. Sorry for the mixed-up story; I wanted to learn if it makes a difference for me to pay the passport delivery fee and having my name on the receipt? And do they check that document at all? Thank you. All answers are appreciated.

Hi everyone, I just received an RFE from USCIS (Texas Processing Center). Our PD is May 23, 2023 and we are filing an I-130 (consular processing). Essentially, my partner goes by a nickname and all of his friends and family call him by this name. All of his text messages are shown to also be under nickname which was used as evidence. His legal nickname is completely different from his nickname however. We didn't think much of this issue as his last name is the same. Unfortunately, the RFE we received (as attached) stated that they cannot confirm that the names used all belong to the same person and they want us to provide proof that these two names used are for the same person. They want this through legal documents. However, we are perplexed on how we can prove this as his nickname doesn't show up on any legal documents (rightly so). They wrote that if we don't have any primary or secondary evidence to show that we can ask people to write affidavits, but that these affidavits will only have minimal weight if we can't accompany it by any independent or objective evidence to corroborate the name differences. We are at a loss on how to proceed at this point. Has anyone had a similar experience in regards to this matter and if so, what did you do? Any advice or input would be much appreciated! I am suspecting that we may need to speak with a lawyer, but hoping that there is a straightforward answer. Many thanks in advance.

I understand this is a strange situation. So me and my ex split up around 4 years ago. Things were very mutual and we are still very close friends. When we split, he moved back to his home country ( Turkey ). Unfortunately that was right before he was supposed to get his 10 year green card. He hasn't come back to visit since. He is still close with both me and my family and now that my older brother is having a kid, he really wants to come visit often. How would he go about visiting? Keep in mind, we never actually got divorced cause we've been quite lazy about it. I feel like the embassy will just think this situation is too weird and deny him. Any advice/ideas?
