Hi everyone. I have already submitted my k1 visa packet last month. Here is a summary of my current situation. I am about to graduate college this upcoming semester in May. I also live in student housing apartment style apartment as well (It was a last minute choice from a long time ago before I met my fiance). My lease is also up in May. I was telling my fiance that I really don't want to sign a 1 year lease somewhere if I don't even know where life will take me between May and whenever he gets approved with his k1 visa. After May, I was just thinking of renting a room from someone month to month. I would want it to be long term of course, but it depends if I get better job opportunities somewhere whether it's in state or out of state. But would this be a problem if I rent a room out of someone month to month? Technically, I would be paying for everything on my own anyways. I'm just paying for the space of the room. Would USCIS disregard this however? Especially if there are 1 or 2 more random people living in the same house? But everyone is paying for their own things including their own rent? I'm just curious. It's just so I can either prepare myself to get an apartment after my lease is up or be able to rent a room from someone month to month without it affecting my k1 visa process.

Hi All, I am a US citizen. I have been living and working in the US for the past 8 months. We are applying for a green card for my spouse. On my I-864 my current individual income (Part 6, Item 7) is above the 125 percent of the Federal poverty level. However on my most recent tax returns (2020) my total income (Part 6, 24a) is below the Federal poverty level. (Due to working overseas) I believe what the USCIS checks is the "current income" and I will be supporting this with 8 months of paystubs and verification employment letter. However my attorney told me that I will get an RFE due my most recent tax return income being below the Federal poverty level . Do you think I will need a joint sponsor?

I have a question about my k1 application after my case was approved with USCIS on October 8, 2021, It went to the NVC and then I got an email from the NVC that my case went back to the USCIS on November 24, 2021 for review. Is that normal? and how long will it usually take to go back to the NVC?

Me and fiance started our k1 visa journey. I was wondering can he apply for turist or student visa while we are waiting for our K1 visa? We will not get married. I cannot visit him due to my work so he would like to visit me.
