US Immigration from Thailand

Hello all

I am sure this has been asked a million times but I get mixed answers from doing research. My wife will have been a green card holder for 3 years as of January 2021. We are still waiting for her I-751 to be approved. She filed in February and has had her biometrics done already. Is she able to start the citizenship process before she gets approval on her I-751? Thanks all.

I happen to notice when reviewing the Visa statistics at the link below that Manila has processed over 100 K1 visas in July alone. Yet, I don t see a single entry on this website that shows a visa interview date in July. With that many, I would think at least one would be here to help validate. If that is the case, why does the US Embassy website in Manila not indicate that they are processing K1 visas? When other cities start to process K1 visas, will they start scheduling interviews secretly or will they announce similar to other visas? Any ideas?

My Thai fiancee and I received our USCIS NOA2 approval in April. Obviously because of COVID it has been sitting at the NVC, waiting for the green light to send to the embassy in Bangkok.

In the meantime I called and was given our NVC Case # and Invoice #. We are very confused over the roles of the different agencies once the NVC forwards the application packet to the embassy.

I did go on CEAC and register the D-160 already, so she has her document for that, and will be sending over a hard copy as well as the Affadavit of Support.

It appears she has to register for several things, ad it is confusing why and what the agencies do.

I mostly just lurk here as I am quite the introvert in real life but I certainly enjoy reading many thoughts and ideas from the many folks that participate here.

I wanted to encourage everyone to keep up their strength and hope that we will be with our loved ones soon and we should never give up or doubt that.

There are days when I feel discouraged and down and my beautiful Fiance cheers me up with her laughs and smiles and there are days when she is down and I do the same for her. Constant communication and encouragement has been our gift to each other. We video chat everyday and we talk about our daily activities and stay involved in each other's lives.

Please don't believe everything you read unless it is an official statement and even then make sure you fully understand it before you let anything get you down.

Positive thoughts and wishful prayers to all who are facing this difficult time apart.

Hi all,

My wife has injured her back first in Feb then again this week. She has a herniated lumbar disk and nerve compression. She spent 30 days bedridden in Feb.

What documentation do I need and how do I go about requesting an expedite. I have the x-rays taken in Feb and have told her to request the medical records from both hospital visits.
