Hey everyone, hoping we're all nearing the end of our visa saga! My wife and I just had our interview yesterday at the embassy in Seoul, South Korea and the visa was issued today, so we're done! 16 months start to finish... and that was without any RFEs or anything. Here's our brief timeline, good luck to everyone on the last stages!

Nov 15 2021: Filed with USCIS (transferred from Nebraska to Vermont, who knows where else)

Nov 11 2022: Got approved and sent over to the NVC

Dec 29 2022: Got approved / DQ'd

Feb 7 2023: Got the interview appointment

Mar 8 2023: Had our interview in Seoul, South Korea

Mar 9 2023: Visa Issued

Can't receive Packet 3 - can I schedule interview when CEAC Ready?

Hello

I wanted to ask if I can schedule the interview once it is "ready" on CEAC?

I ask this because I won't be able to get packet 3.

I am the K1 beneficiary and my address on I-129F used to be in city A. But I now live in city B, 2.5 hr drive from where I live now.

I assume that packet 3 will go to my old address on I-129F (city A). Is this correct?

Also, the I-129F form doesn't even have my or USC's email address.

I hired a lawyer to do my I-129F.

The I-129F form does not have any email address *except for* the lawyer's email.

He's rather slow in responding emails so I am worried that the interview slots will fill up until I wait for him to send Packet 3 to me.

In sum, the I-129F has 1) my, USC's and lawyer's physical mailing addresses and 2) only the lawyer's email address.

In short,

1) Can I schedule interview once my case is "ready" status on CEAC?

2) who will get packet 3 in my case and in what form (physical mail/email) ?

Thank you.

I filed my i751 at 10/28

and got a extend letter and reuse biometric something at early November. (NOV3? I am not sure)

I can't find my processing time because my service center is MSC. (There's no MSC tab in USCIS homepage.)

Anyone else like me?

Anyway, Good luck to everybody

Sorry for my broken English haha

Received RFE - Translation Question

My fianc is from South Korea and we are working on submitting additional evidence for the RFE we received. His dad hand wrote a letter supporting our relationship to submit to USCIS along with a few other documents. My fianc speaks Korean, of course, but he does know a good amount of English. I know that whenever we submit a document in a foreign language, this document has to be translated. Is it okay if my fianc translates my father in law s letter and we submit that translated document along with the photocopy of the hand written letter?

I read somewhere that whoever translates any document in a foreign language has to certify the translation is complete and accurate. How would he certify this? Does he just have to submit another document stating that the translated document is complete and accurate? Is he even allowed to be the one to translate the letter or does this have to be translated by a professional?

Received RFE - Please Help

My fianc and I received our RFE reasoning in the mail today. I attached the RFE to this post. My fianc and I submitted letters of intent to marry but we didn t provide enough proof of our intent. In the examples provided, they said we can submit proof of subsequent meetings and ongoing communications. I am currently in South Korea with him and have met his dad. I will be meeting his sister too. Does this mean we can submit pictures/text messages of our current trip to support our proof of relationship? I thought USCIS only wanted proof of relationship within the 2 years of filing the petition.

1. Can we submit photos of our current trip together in South Korea? (Pictures with the beneficiary s dad, pictures with his sister, and of our trip in general together)

2. He proposed to me in Colorado back in February 2022. We have pictures of our engagement right after he proposed (pictures of us together holding up my engagement ring). Would this be good evidence to submit?

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated! We want to make sure to submit the correct evidence so we can avoid any further issues/delays with our petition. Thank you!
