I130 filed Dec, 19, 2021 for Mother of U.S. Citizen. Checked on-line today and it stated that on Dec 21, 2022, they sent me a Request for Evidence explaining that additional information is needed. They said that no further action will be taken on case until evidence is received. So from the looks of my dates, it appears that the I130 for parents processing through the Nebraska Service Center is taking at least one year or less. I say less because my mother's case had special circumstances that's why hers took a little longer. I will keep everyone updated

Hello, I would like clarification if possible. 1. I am completing Form I-130 and we did not have anyone interpret the forms, so should I leave that blank? Overall my husband understands English and understood the form. In the case he didn't understand I assisted, but it was minor. Should I leave it blank or put myself? 2. Is form 130A supposed to be completed by my husband (I am his beneficiary). I am sorry if that question seems obvious, I've read and re-read this document https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/i-130instr.pdf, but the vocabulary in form 130-A is confusing in that it says spouse beneficiary, that means my husband, correct? Thank you for any help!

Hello, I received my case number this morning via text, and I then went to the USCIS to track my receipt number and got the following message: "On December 5, 2022, we received your Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fianc (e), Receipt Number (redacted), and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you have any questions, contact the USCIS Contact Center at www.uscis.gov/contactcenter. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address." The text message also said that a I-797C is to follow in the mail. I'm still waiting on the mail piece, but my question for everyone here is, what happened next for you in your experience? Thank you!

Based on what just happened with the Government in Peru, how will that affect Immigration? President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Wednesday morning ordered the temporary closure of Congress and called for parliamentary elections.

Hello, My fiance lives in Peru and the only thing I'm needing to finish the paperwork is his intent to marry - he does not have a printer. Is it still acceptable to hand write the intent to marry and then send me a photo of it to print out? Thank you, first timer here!
