US Immigration from Morocco

Hello everyone, I hope you guys are safe and healthy , I came to USA with k1 visa , applied my Adjustment of state in December 2019, and it says my interview is ready to be scheduled since March 2019 , it s taking forever ! It s Seattle WA office I don t know if anyone here in the same state and having same problem!

So yesterday I was supposed to go with my husband to usa after I received my Cr1 visa after long wait. We dragged our suitcases to the airport and as soon as we reached embarking it was a huge shock. So Moroccan people with Cr1 visa can't leave the country without an authorization from the government

I had to go back home cancel my flight and do the paperwork and beside that I will need to do my test again

Iot of expenses and trips we didn't think we would be doing for the sake of going to the states.

BTW I was not the only one being returned for the same problem.

I guess visa journey is never ending

I just got my interview notice for AOS k1 and I 'm april filler, they asking me to bring passport that I used when I entered to the United states, but this passport is already expired and I sent it to my embassy to renew it(you have to send the expired passport with application and they return you new one and old one) I called embassy about how long it takes and they said at least 7 weeks so I will not have it for my AOS interview, do you think that is ok if I don't take the expired passport with me to interview, I have copy of this passport that's enough. Thank you

My husband is 15 months away from filing for citizenship, Yes we are preparing early.

We have always filed joint returns, last year we filed jointly, and got back very little.

This year from pre filing, we have to pay .

Can USCIS hold it against a petitioner if they filed separately from their spouse? Can it cause his citizenship being denied for that reason of filing taxes separately?

Its best financially to file separately then jointly for this year.

i checked the I 130 instructions, the guides here and USCIS info

list of documents for intended immigrant are

birth certificate

passport

passport photos

I 864

etc

but at what stage is the passport needed / seems stupid to require one for a F4 that takes forever , so i want to assume at NVC stage/ Am i right?
