SOME FLIGHTS STILL LEAVING MOROCCO THROUGH RAM OR AIR ARABIA FOR US CITIZENS (AND VALID VISA HOLDERS??? MAYBE???) ACCORDING TO UNITED STATES STATE DEPARTMENT GROUP IN CASABLANCA. EMAIL COPIED/PASTED BELOW......American Citizen Services from the US Consulate in Casablanca - ACS - sent out the below email a few hours ago to myself and my fianc (who got his K1 on Nov 24). They sent out a similar email the first time around, on Dec 1 I think, when the borders were originally going to be closed until Dec 13. Luckily we got out on Dec 4 on an Air France flight through Paris. My fianc was initially stopped in Morocco saying he couldn t leave but ultimately, they let him go with me. For more of that story and other info from our experiences, please check out the US Morococco Visa Discussion group on Facebook (which I have heard is closely related to this VisaJourney group), then you can find me then click my name which will take you to a list of my posts in this group (I think). Anyway, this, the below, is that email from ACS about the current extension of border closing in Morocco until Dec 31 and options to get out until Dec 13 ..

Health Alert: Suspension of Passenger Flights Extended through December 31
Location: Morocco
Event: The Government of Morocco has extended the suspension of all regular passenger flights to and from Morocco through December 31.
There are currently no direct commercial flights to/from the United States. Royal Air Maroc and Air Arabia have announced that special outbound flights from Morocco to France and Spain are available until December 13. U.S. citizens seeking to depart from Morocco at this time should book one of these flights directly with the airlines.
We recommend that U.S. citizens enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program at https://step.state.gov/step/ to receive future alerts.
***Effective December 6, all air travelers to the United States aged two and above, regardless of vaccination status, are required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 viral test taken within one calendar day prior to departure, or documentation of recovery in the past 90 days. Additional information about the testing requirements can be found on the CDC website.

I hope i can say the following so it makes sense to new members

timelines are important and should be done

But understand that man of us have been here for years and the timeline may not reflect our whole visa journey

mine shows CR in 2011 and visa 5 years later / i say we had a 6 year immigration process as we did K1 in 2009 but its not on my timeline

and many are now citizens but changed timeline to reflect a new petition for parents or siblings

like ours will change in 2022 as we will apply for his brother

so, if a status says ROC or AOS, it may not be for the VJ member / they may have already gone thru the process to citizenship and the new status is for a family member

Going to a person's past posts and seeing their experience before commenting on their knowledge helps a lot

i didn't do this a time or 2 and when a post said AOS the person was already here and i mistakenly answered as if the member was doing AOS for NVC

and mostly members here try to stick to USCIS and the rules and laws not online posts from Facebook or youtube or unknown sources

when a member does give an incorrect response , it is corrected by other members quickly

hope i said what i wanted to post so new members understand

Organizing Additional Evidence in Online Application

Hello,

I am starting the CR-1 process for my husband and am wondering about the best way to organize additional evidence for the online I-130 application. We've never lived together, so I want to show evidence of extended visits. I have photographs, boarding passes, and receipts from three (possibly four, if I don't get this finished before my next trip) visits that I want to include, as well as a short chat transcript from the day we met online. Should I:

  • Arrange images into PDF documents (one per visit) with captions and upload the PDF documents, or
  • Submit images separately (around 50 of them), along with a single document that gives a general explanation of what they are (i.e. six dinners with family).

Also, are there any opinions as to whether online filing or paper filing is better?

Thank you!

For anyone interested in # of visas by embassy and case have been issued for October the stats are finally out

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-statistics.html

check NIV for non immigrant -this includes K1

IV is immigrant

Don't forget many of these FINALLY issued visas have been in long AP and do not necessarily reflect new interviews
