Hi everyone, I had my IR1 visa interview in February, and at the end of my interview, the officer told me that she believes my marriage is bona fide, but she needs to verify some information, so she put me under administrative review and issued me a 221g. The reason for this is that I have a 601a waiver due to overstaying my visa. While reading through the waiver instructions, I saw that one of the reasons an approved I-601A can be revoked is if the DOS consulate officer determines that I am ineligible for the immigrant visa. My questions are: Can the consulate officer determine that I am ineligible for the visa without providing any specific reasons? Can my immigrant visa petition become invalid or withdrawn if they put me in administrative processing for a long time, or more than a year?

i-129f Address History: how to list both permanent and college addresses? |

form i-129f requires listing all addresses for the past 5 years with no elaboration. I could not find this question answered elsewhere on this portal (the best I've seen is advice to INCLUDE short term college addresses): I've had the same permanent address (parents home) until last year, but 4 unique college dorms/apts in between, and my new permanent address, all in the last 5 years. How do I list these? Do I have to repeat my parents' home over and over between each college dorm address? this will require 11 addresses. I can't think of a way that is both honest and not annoyingly excessive. Can I just list my parents home once, for 4 years until my new permanent home, and just include the college addresses double counting for some of the time, or is that unwise? my address history is: college dorm 1: spring 2020 home: summer 2020 college apt 1: spring 2021 home: summer 2021 college apt 2: fall 2021 - spring 2022 home: summer 2022 college apt 2 again: fall 2022 - spring 2023 home: summer 2023 college dorm 4: fall 2023 home: early 2024 new permanent home: 2024-now

Hi everyone, Long story short: I overstayed my K1 visa and later married a different woman than the one on my K1. l've been married to my current wife for 7.5 years. We've bought a house together, and have been happily married. I applied for the 601A waiver and it got approved. Then, they scheduled me for an interview in my home country. I had the interview, and the interviewer asked for my 601A approval letter. She also asked why I needed to come back to my country to change my status and why I couldn't do it in the US. She spoke with two other officers for at least 15 minutes about my case. Eventually, she told me that she believes my marriage is real and has no doubts about it. However, she needs more time to review my situation. She kept my passport and told me my case is under "administrative review." 221g I'm unsure how long this process will take or what to expect next. Has anyone been through something similar or can offer any advice or insight on what happens after "administrative review"? Thanks in advance for any feedback!

K1 visa was refused, pending submission of the original divorce decree. Problem is the original was sent to them, but they rejected it. What in God's name do they need?

When searching internet for immigration related information, be very careful to not trust AI Make sure your answers come from USCIS sites, VJ, DOJ and read those sites Know the real rule or law not what a quick internet search tells u i have seen some "off the wall" info which is not correct or misleading the web says AI Overview AI can generate incorrect or misleading information, also known as AI hallucinations, for a number of reasons. This can include biased training data, incorrect assumptions, or the model's inability to differentiate between truth and falsehood.
