Hello,

I was wondering if the 90 days to get married once my fianc enters the US also has to be within the 6 months of the medical report or visa?

Basically if it is 6 months+90 days or just getting married within 6 months.

There are just some things needed to be done first for anyone wondering.

Thanks for the help!

I am about to apply for citizenship, marriage based, we did our tax me and my wife together last 3 years using H&R block and randomly I was checking our account and I found that s we gave a balance due to pay for IRS, However we already paid and done our tax with a professional agency. I m pretty sure H&R block miscalculate our tax. My question is do I need to fix that first and wait to apply for citizenship or I just send my tax return for 3 years, Since fixing that tax thing may take time

I m an American. My wife is Moroccan and we have a son who has his US passport. I want to get my wife her ASAP.

What is the best way? Visit visa or K visa? Once here I d like to apply for her immigration visa.

For either, do I apply for her here in the US or does she apply at the embassy in Morocco?

Traveling with 48 months extension letter with expired Green Card

I went to canada last month for a week with my wife. I traveled with my expired Green Card and Extension Letter 48 months. Everything was fine until the day I was coming back home from Canada, the officer at US Customs told me that he couldn t read my fingerprint or my fingerprint are very low quality, so I had to wait for 1 hour for the supervisor in the immigration area to come and check on that. The supervisor was very professional and he asked a couple questions and he let me enter. I had a job interview next day and I was worried that I miss my flight and I miss this opportunity. Does anyone had issues entering US with extension letter?

Field investigation/Home visit nightmare?

Hi everyone!

I hope you all can help me. My sister and Joe (from Lagos) have been married for just under two years (and were together a year before that). She has had several visits and mom and dad went over once too when they got married. They are in the process of petitioning for spousal visa. He received his interview (passport not taken) and was put into AP about six months ago. They have received very little word in terms of updates since then. Now something very strange has happened: Yesterday, Joe's mom said that a man came to the door asking all sorts of questions about him. The man was not really clear about who he was or why he was asking these questions. Naturally, she refused to answer. Upon finding this out, Joe asked around and was told by a few neighbors that a USCIS agent came out and was asking all sorts of questions about their relationship and my sister. Joe is now in the process of asking his employer if he has heard anything.

This is crazy! I have heard of background checks and AP. My own husband, who is from Morocco, went into AP temporarily, but he was only in there for less than two weeks. He has been here for a while and has since naturalized (but he came in 2011 and naturalized in 2017, so I get that things could have changed sin then).

Has anyone had this happen to them? Was it this extreme? Can the COs actually do this? This sounds invasive. I tried searching for this on VJ and elsewhere. I have seen some others on the boards mention "home visit" and "field investigation" but I haven't seen much detail, so I don't know if this means that. Then there is the issue that his mother's refusal to answer questions (understandably not wanting to talk to a total stranger who wouldn't really identify themselves). What do you recommend they do?

I really appreciate your wisdom!
