I-485 Pending Supervisor Approval

Me and my wife went to our I-485 appointment today. Appointment was very simple and straight forward. The lady was very nice. We gave her pictures, proof of relationship and everything she asked for. We are even expecting our first child in January and I gave her a doctors note to prove it. We were asked the typical question of how you met, when, etc... It all seemed good. She even said that since me and my wife have been married for less then 2 years that she would get a 2 year conditional green card. She went and brought us a paper saying that our case is pending review. She said her supervisor has to take a look at it and once approved we would get the green card mailed to us. She said it could take up to 4 months to get the green card just depending on how fast the green card can be made. The only thing I can think of that might make the case need further review is that my wife is from Libya. I could be wrong but that's just my guess. Has this happened to anybody before? We're you approved for the green card and how long did it take to get after the pending review appointment.

Arrive in US after 2 yrs of marriage (split)

Hello all, Reviving this thread with a follow up question!

First of all, thank you all for useful information above.

My wife entered the US just a a few days past 2 years of marriage so her status is IR1 and was given a permanent green card for 10 years. However upon entry the boarder control office gave her a small paper advising her to apply for the removal of condition with instructions to file i-751 three months before the 2 year mark from the date of entry. So following these instructions we filed an i-751 about 3 weeks ago. We have not heard back and the check never got cashed so I got worried and started to do some research and found this thread and realized that maybe we should have not even filed the i-751. I am thinking that the i-751 might get rejected after all. In any case did we do the right thing? or should we have just ignored what the boarder control officer said?!

Also if the i751 gets rejected, should we just leave it at that?

Thanks in advance.

Traveling locally with a pending I-485 case

I reside in Texas and me and my wife are planning on traveling to Virginia. She has a pending I-485 and I-765. Her I-94 and K-1 visa in her passport are expired. Would she face any trouble at the airport due to not having any document or would it not be a problem because she has a pending case. I know that all you need is a photo ID to travel locally and she does has a valid unexpired passport. I would appreciate any info to help. I'm kind of worried and hesitant to travel because I don't want any issues.

Form I-864 tax return question

I've filled out the I-864 Affidavit of Support completely but I'm not sure if I filled the tax return portion correctly. I filed taxes in 2015 (have proof) but didn't in 2014 because my income was too low (have proof). I also was not required to file taxes in 2013 because I was not working as I was a full time student (have proof). My question is do I Choose yes or no for 18.a. ( Have you filed a federal income tax return for each of the three most recent tax years?) I marked it as no. Do I check mark box 20 that says ( I was not required to file a federal income tax return as my income was below the IRS required level and I have attached evidence to support this). I checked marked it. I want a second opinion before I send in my papers.

Adjustment of Status (I-485) before applying for a SSN?

My fianc e entered the United States on a K-1 fianc visa and we got married on 11-8-16. I've just finished all the forms for her adjustment of status and one of my friends just told me that she has to apply for a SSN first. I guess my question is would it be okay to apply for adjustment of status before she applies for a SSN number or is it mandatory to get the SSN first. Also do I have to fill out an I-130 with the adjustment of status?
