Are there any movies that are historically accurate enough that could be watched that can help with the history part? Of course it is a fiction and somebody's vision, but some are more truthful than others. Family movie night could become educational. Specifically about the writing of the declaration of independence and events surrounding mid 18th century.

Have you ever needed to show your GK.

Just wondering if any of you have ever been asked to show your GK?

Last time was probably many years ago, when I applied for account at my local credit union bank.

I am self - employed, so my employer does not need it. I renewed my drivers license, they never asked for it.

I really can not think of the last time I had to show my GK, aside from airport?

Even at a car accident several years ago, a guy bumped me from behind, police officer never cared to see it.

Maybe my life really is very uneventful, lol.

I mean I have been here 13 years, so everything is already established, but still. I am trying to think of scenarios where I would actually need to show my GK.

Hello,

We're scheduled to have K1 interview next Monday 25th Nov.

Few days ago I received police certificates from UK where I lived in for a while.

Without giving much thought I opened the enveloped (carefully). Now I'm scared it should've stayed closed.

Has anyone done something similar? And is it mandatory for the enveloped to be unopened?

Thanks,

Art

Can I-134 and I-864 be filled by different people as joint sponsors?

Hello everyone,

We've failed for k1 visa 2 months ago and recently gotten into problems with joint sponsor as we lost our main sponsor due to their personal issues.

The idea is that we've found someone else that is willing to sponsor us, but the person only has the minimum income for I-134 as retirement money from government.

So we've come up with a plan where we could fill out the I-864 after I come over to US and my fianc (petitioner) gonna find a job that will be able to meet the minimum requirement.

As I understand technically its not illegal, in unlikely case we can't meet the I-864 requirements, to just leave US as think of other ways.

My question is if any one has done anything this extreme?

As an explanation I (beneficiary) have very well paying remote job so there's no real world issue of becoming a public-charge...so we're not trying to become freeloaders in US.

Thanks in advance

Art
