Hi, I had my birth certificate translated and certified in my home country but in the translation they misspelled my first name. To be fair, in English you can spell my first name in many ways and this particular translator chose one way but it differs from all my U.S. identity cards. The translator's translation of my name phonetically sounds the same. I needed to have this done because I am a permanent resident of the U.S. who married my now wife who is an 0-1 visa holder (her visa runs out on August 1st). I have to turn in my certified translated birth certificate with my wife's application as her petitioner by the end of this month. I wonder if this name translation is a huge deal or if I should try to get it re-translated in time? I wonder how lenient they are with such mistakes? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My fiance's visa was approved on June 25th, 2021, issued on June 28th, 2021, and he entered the USA on July 4th, 2021. We had an appointment to apply for his SSN today, and during the process the SSA noticed that the passport entry stamp that he received in Newark is dated JUNE 4th, 2021. This obviously caused there to be mismatched information in the system between SSA and Homeland Security. His I-94 has the correct entry date, but his passport stamp doesn't match. The SSA went ahead and processed the application, but they told us to expect a bit of a delay because of additional verifications that will be necessary. Has anyone heard of this happening before, or experienced this? We are trying to figure out if it will cause any problems in the future as we move to adjust his status after we get married, and other processes in the future.

What's your experience in terms of processing times, convenience? Was uploading evidence online better than mailing it to them. For i485, i131, etc do you have to wait for NOA from submitting i130 online before mailing? Do you need to do i130 first (if doing online) before mailing the other necessary forms? TIA.
