US Immigration from Ethiopia

I was working unauthorized on lyft for almost two years now as an f-1 student using my social, now I'm about to marry my USC girlfriend and im starting to think I should take a break of school cause I'm paying out-of-state tuition. I have decided it's better to finish the AOS and pay in-state tuition.

So my question is would I be in trouble for working unauthorized even though I'm marrying a citizen ?

Is this a specific case where I need a lawyer or can I file it myself ?

When would I be able to get some type document show I have adjusted my status to the school, hence paying less money lol?

I know there have been a few of you who are waiting for the Ethiopian Embassy to start interviews again. I just wanted to post an update saying my fiance had her interview today and she was approved!

Our documentation was spot on because of visa journey. Her interview was 10 minutes and the only real question of note asked was where did we meet?

Our original interview date was March 19th if I remember correctly so we may have been at the front of the line for getting interviews. I just logged in one day and it said your interview is scheduled.

Hi everyone. Me and my fiance were just given the opportunity today to schedule an appointment at the US embassy in Addis ET. Does anyone have insight or info as to how far out we should schedule ? We are considering options in mid-late Feb. The sooner the better.. but also want to leave time for the Medical and vaccination part. With COVID the medical facilities may be overloaded.

My case has been at NVC since July. The embassy in Addis is just now starting to resume fiance and spousal interviews. I had called NVC and got my case number so I can check my case on the CEAC and it still says At NVC. My question is- I never received any packet or email from NVC. Should I have? Or do they send it after they send our petition to embassy? Is there something I am missing? I don't know what we're supposed to be doing other than waiting.

Has this happened to anyone? Our case was expedited and is now at the US embassy in Ethiopia.

Last week they sent us an e-mail with detailed instructions for medical exam and other required documents, but NO date.

In the e-mail they said: "Please find the attached instruction for immigrant visa process. Once you have completed all the requirements listed, email us at AddisIV@state.gov so that we can schedule you for interview."

Has this ever happened to anyone else? I thought usually you receive a date BEFORE the medical exam, because that's what the medical examiner would want to see. The attached letter isn't even addressing my husband's full name. Is this a mistake on the embassy, or a new policy? I was hoping to get the interview date so I could fly there to help him for the last stretch.

I tried calling the embassy and they refused to be of any help, and just insisted that I e-mail them, which I already did 5 days ago.

Sorry, a little frustrated now.
