What happens if you file the Form G-1145 incorrectly?

We sent the package with all the required documents for the adjustment of status. The Form I-485 and Form I-765. Sent the checks too!

However, I have made a mistake on Form G-1145. Instead of putting my information on the form, in the 'Applicant/Petitioner' field and 'email' fields. I put my wife's. After bothering with the previous documentations I just got who the 'Petitioner' is wrong since for the AOS that would be me but previously, it was her.

Do you think this might hamper the process? I'm worried that might be a problem but I'm not quite sure. I know I got everything on the 485 and 765 right, but it was specifically the G-1145 that I made a mistake. And I'm not sure exactly what happens if you file a non-essential form incorrectly.

I'm hoping that at worst they will just send my documentation back but also we really need that receipt number as fast as possible.

If it is an issue, do you think there is any way that I could fix it?

Thanks for reading, everyone. Hope you have a good day.

Question about proof of relationship regarding online games.

I know this is a crazy question, but I don't know where to go for an answer anymore LOL

Me and my fianc play a game called FFXIV in which you make characters to play with, and said characters can get "married" in-game. Obviously it's just a silly cute thing to do, nothing legally binding.

We are putting together our proof of relationship document and pictures of said "wedding" came up, and we thought it'd be a good idea to add them since they have a date from pretty early on in the relationship.

However, I'm scared they'll be used as proof that we're already married, and that the K1 visa would be refused. Am I totally overthinking this? Should I just not include them? lol

Thanks in advance :D

We received the NOA1 last evening july 19 for our I-129F via Mail. The check still hasn t gone through and we re wondering what happened. There are sufficient funds in the account and no issues with the check we sent. I m worrying if the check slipped out of our file during the sorting process. Anyone have this issue? They sent to us this notice of action * noa1* but the check still not cashed

RFE not sure what to send

Hello everyone, hope all is well with you!

My name is Julia, I got married in July, under a K1 visa, and sent my AOS application in August. Me and my husband decided to put his mother as household member that is going to help him to meet the financial requirements for the AOS, since we're living with her. He filled out the form I-864 as the sponsor and she filled out the I-864A, as a household member.

We sent: both this forms, together with my husband's tax returns for 2023, 2022 and 2021, his bank statements for both his checking and savings account for the past 6 months, my mother-in-law's tax return for 2022 and 2021 (she didn't have to file taxes for 2023, because she only receives retirement benefits from Social Security, which are non-taxable), her retirement benefits statements for 2023, 2022 and 2021 with translations from Spanish and a letter certifying the translation was accurate and complete, the tax document for her house, that counts as assets to meet the requirements, and her proof of citizenship.
With my husband's savings, my mother-in-law's retirement benefits and her house, we calculated and we definitely meet the requirements.

Now, we received the following RFE:

"Based on the documents submitted, we could not determine that the petitioning sponsor, OMAR GERARDO, and the petitioning sponsor's household member(s) listed on Form I-864, Affidavit of Support, are qualified. In order to be qualified, the petitioning sponsor's Form I-864 must be properly completed and signed, and the supporting documents must establish that the combined income of the petitioning sponsor and the petitioning sponsor's household member(s) meets 125 percent (100 percent if military) of the federal poverty guideline for the sponsor s household size. See Form I-864P for information on the Federal Poverty Guidelines. If the combined income of the petitioning sponsor and the petitioning sponsor's household member(s) does not meet 125 percent (100 percent if military) of the federal poverty guideline for the sponsor's household size, you must obtain a qualifying joint sponsor who demonstrates the ability to support you or submit evidence of assets. See Form I-864 Instructions for more information"

I have two questions about this RFE, that I really need help with:

1 - We thought about asking my mother-in-law to fill out a new I-864, now as a joint sponsor, and send them this new form, her tax returns and retirement benefits from Social Security documents for 2023, 2022 and 2021, a letter from her explaining why she didn't file taxes in 2023, the deed of her house (that has more information about her ownership and we didn't send the first time) and a letter from the bank with my husband's savings account information for the past 12 months. What do you think about it, is it okay to have her as a joint sponsor, instead of a household member that would help?

2 - If we continue with this option, in the part of form I-864 related to the household size, what would be the number I should put in her form as a joint sponsor? Me and my husband live with her, so tecnically it'd be a household of 3, but he's the sponsor and I don't know if I need to include him on her form too and in what part of the household size I should include him.

Thank you very much you all since now! Best wishes too for all of you that are also in this process!

221g in the interview and no answer about approval or refusal visa

I don't understand what happened in my IR1 visa interview. I recently had my interview at the consulate in Rio de Janeiro and the consul was supposed to ask me for a 601 waiver, but in my interview, besides not even saying the waiver, he didn't tell me if the visa was approved or denied, he just gave me a sheet of 221g asking for a document. I took this document to CASV, the visa application service center, and there the lady said that my passport would arrive at home with my visa approved? What do you mean? Is this a miracle? But when I get to the visa tracking, it shows as refused? What's going on? And when will I get my passport back? Can they still deny it or ask for a waiver? I'm confused and distressed...
