So my sister is a LPR and was deciding the best route to bring her 8 years old son to live with her since she just won his custody in Brazil. On doing some investigation, we found some information on the website of the American Consulate in Rio that states that minor Children of LPR in the United States are authorized to travel to the US without a visa or authorization letter as long as the parent have a valid green card Does anyone have better knowledge about this? She is going to Brazil in February for his birthday and want to bring her son back with her! Thank you!!!

Hello everyone, My wife's AOS interview is scheduled for December. Has anyone in the L.A. area brought an interpreter at the above USCIS office recently? Or did they have an interpreter standing by on the phone for the interview? I keep reading other offices are allowing interpreters to attend the interviews even though the request for interview letter states not to bring one. Thank you in advance

We need to change the date for my wife's citizenship interview. Problem? What type of reasons are acceptable? We applied for my wife citizenship about 6 weeks ago. We then received notice very quickly that she would not need to do the biometrics again because the biometrics from her green card would be used. It was our understanding it would take anywhere from 6 months to a year before she got her citizenship interview. Super happy to report she has an interview scheduled for December 17th 2021. Here's the problem we've purchased tickets to go back to Brazil for family for the Christmas holidays leaving on the 12th of December. And of course we bought cheap tickets non-refundable. Here's a question will they accept that as a reason for changing her citizenship interview date?

Hello, I had a combo interview a few days ago (November 2, 2021), I passed and my case was recommended for approval. During my interview I was a little confused about the name change option, I asked if I could add a middle name, but I was never informed that my oath ceremony may take months to be scheduled. I regret it, I realized that it will be very inconvenient to change all my documents and I want my process to be done as soon as possible. Is there anything I can do to withdraw this name change request? I sent a letter to the immigration officer who interviewed me and I also requested an infopass appointment, so far I didn't hear anything. My case status is still showing "interview scheduled". Does anybody have been in a similar situation? I appreciate any help. Thank you.
