Hello! My children and I received an RFE from NVC on September 22nd. I responded on September 23rd. My oldest son received the DQ on September 30th, and I received it on October 1st. However, my youngest son is still waiting, and it's been 15 days since we submitted the documents. Has anyone else experienced a similar situation?

I wanted to ask about the K1 Visa financial requirements. I am an American citizen who has filed an i129f for my Brazilian fiancee, NOA1 received on march 11th 2025. The problem is that in 2024 I resigned my job and only worked for 3 months that year. In those 3 months I was on track to earn about $48,000 that year (earned about $42,000 in 2023 & $35,000 in 2022). Between march 2024 and May 2025 I was unemployed & was a college student spending my savings in that timeframe. Since May 2025 I have been working again, still a college student pursuing Engineering. Im on track to make $33,600 working part time right now. In addition, my father sends me $1,200 per month to help with expenses and covers all tuition payments separately from the $1,200 per month. He is trying to help grow my savings account in light of the K1 process, however he refuses to sign the financial support paperwork for my fiancee. So $14,400 per year from my father + $33,600= $48,000 per year, plus a bright future in an Engineering career. Can anyone comment on how this will be viewed by the immigration officers? Will they consider the $1,200 per month my father sends? Will they consider my career as an Engineer and previous work history as an Aerospace Technician?

Hello everyone. I m a Brazilian married to a U.S. citizen for 10 years, and we both currently live in Brazil. We re planning to apply for the IR1 visa since we intend to move to the U.S. in early 2027. I m an army officer, and she s a dentist. My current income is above the poverty guideline, but hers is not. We plan to move when she s possibly accepted into a U.S. university to validate her dental degree. I d like to avoid relying on a joint sponsor what are my options? P.S. 1. We have real estate and financial assets that together amount to roughly three times the poverty guideline. 2. When we move, she will receive a student loan that covers both tuition and living expenses for a couple, with a total amount exceeding 125% of the poverty line. Can this amount be considered?

Hello VisaJourney friends! I m in a situation where I already have an idea of what to do, but I d love to hear your thoughts as well. Here s the background: When I started my immigration process, I created a USCIS account that I used for all my applications (I-485, I-130, I-765, etc.). For my most recent application, the I-751, I had to mail it in because there was no online submission option. Even though I included the USCIS account number I already had, they ended up creating a new USCIS account where this I-751 was placed (it s still pending). Now, I want to apply for my N-400, which I can do online. So, I thought about using this second USCIS account where my pending I-751 is located. Here s the issue: On my I-751, I accidentally entered my date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format instead of MM/DD/YYYY. The mistake was caught and corrected during biometrics (back in January), so I completely forgot about it. However, when I started filling out the N-400 online form, it wouldn t let me continue because the DOB I entered doesn t match the one in my account. Apparently, the correction made during biometrics hasn t been reflected in my (second) USCIS account yet. Has anyone faced something similar? What would you suggest I do in this case? Thank you in advance!

1. Is there a biometrics fee for the n400? If so, what is it? I can't find any specific number under the n400 instructions. 2. My wife made more than me on our most recent tax return and that's still the case. Our only dependent listed on that tax return is our son. I filed the return, but since my wife makes more than me therefore providing the majority of the household income, shouldn't she be listed as head of the household, per the n400 instructions? Thank you!
