I am filing under 5 year rule, am divorced, me and wife separated in December 2020 and divorce filed in April. When I did my taxes for 2020 I did them almost late in April and since we were separated I filed as single. Would that be an issue if asked for tax transcripts during interview? Should I stil have filed as married even tho at the time of filing we were separated?

Good morning Folks, i just wanted some opinions on my case, it might be nothing to worry about but i am a chronic worrier. My timeline is as follows.

Married Us citizen in August 2016

Got Conditional Green Card in Feb 2018

Applied for I751 jointly ROC in Feb 2020

Got 10 year green card in Nov 2020 without any interview for ROC

Relationship wasnt goin good, wife filed for divorce on april 2021 and it was finalized may 2021.

Met the love of my life and remarried in December 2022, also a USC.

Now i am looking to apply for my citizenship and worrying about what can be asked about my first marriage, we were married for almost 5 years, covid put a big strain on the relationship and on new years eve she told me she had met someone else and wanted to put her happiness first and do what made her happy for the new year and asked me to leave the apartment.

My fianc and I mentioned in our letter of intent to get married that we did a photo shoot on July 21st , my fianc is even using jeans and just a bottom shirt and that on the 26th he decided to propose to me. There are also photos of us and the proposal. See the photos attached, we only sent this photo. Could this give the consulate the wrong impression?

Can someone please help me with this situation? My husband applied the ir1 visa for me and an IR2 visa for my two kids, but I will will need a 601 waiver. The problem is that my kids they can t to come to the US without me because they are children and one of them has severe depression and cannot live without me. He is emocional dependent of me. We all know that after his visa is approved, he only has six months to enter the country. How does USCIS work in this case to only allow my stepchildren to enter the country at the same time as me? I see that two children alone in such a change is very radical and almost cruel. Is it possible to put their visas on hold? Something like that? Please, no offense or disrespect, this is a delicate situation that involves children. Respect!

Hello, I applied for an IR1 visa on 03/31/23, and I was DQ'd on 05/06/24.

Does anyone know how much longer I will have to wait to have my interview scheduled in Rio de Janeiro?
