It looks like NVC has quickly reviewed your case and sent you the RFE! How did you come to know what are you missing? There is RFE shortcut being discussed in a different thread. Just search fro RFE shortcut or RFE, you should find information there as how to create the coversheet.

Let us know! :pop:

Well i wasn't expecting anything this quick but thought i'd call them, got through and a really nice woman told me that they have everything, the I864 is fine, all i need to do is send in Part 2 with supporting Docs and it will be complete. The changes took affect after we sent out bits in.

Hmmm, i've searched but can't find the RFE shortcut :(

Maybe there is no coversheet for the RFE checklist..??

The lady said all you are missing from case complete is DS230 part 1 AND 2 plus the supporting docs (original birth cert, marriage etc etc)

she said, send that in and your done! haha she was really nice. I was curious if the I864 had problems too, so i asked and she said "no baby, thats all fine and ready to go, you just need these last bits and your done!"

Fingers crossed its a quick ammend

hmmm Coversheet or no coversheet, i might just send the stuff in like i was submitting it for the first time with the original cover sheet and just change the dates...?? what you reckon?

I've heard either Trailmix or Chris Parker talking about an RFE shortcut! Read the "Shouldn't my case be complete by now" thread! I thought I saw somewhere there. Did your status message on the IVR system changed? I am just curious because mine was entered like 2 days before yours and called yesterday and was told that mine was still under review. I hope there is no RFE in the horizon!!

yeah, just 2 days after they got it the automated thing said they have all the docs and are reviewing blah blah, then today i called and it said there is a checklist sent on 3rd Oct (yesterday) then i just decided to press 9 and speak to someone and got the full run down of the changes that have taken place for UK filers..

I gotta admit they seem to be pretty damm quick for us lately, just wish they'd be quick for everyone else.

I read that thread and it really only seems to apply for the I864 RFE cover sheet, not the DS230 RFE coversheet, i think i'm gonna risk it and turn in the I864 RFE cover sheet and see if they accept it.

They should be the same! The coversheet is generic, plus you get an extra sheet that lists what your are missing. I think you should go ahead and use that! Good luck!

It has been confirmed by trailmix that the DS-230 RFE coversheet is the same as the I-864 RFE. If you got an RFE before and kept a clear copy of the coversheet, you probably can use that. I last published a proposed new shortcut for submitting RFE's here:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...t&p=1222302

I've made some small minor changes to that document since it was published (most important, A2D in the footer is not for every case, I've decided if you don't know the code being used for your case, put a nonsense code like AZX so at least they can't use it for anything, if they do at all).

I plan to publish a final version of the RFE coversheet shortcut to the pinned James shortcut threads in another day or two... I'm waiting to make sure the RFE I sent with it actually posts to my case (should post today or tomorrow under normal processing times)!

I think they did some housecleaning on Oct. 1! They updated the website to designate appointment processing on or about Sept. 17th. Since then, they were not able to give a straight answer as to whether or not we needed to send in original docs. I took the chance and sent them in. Some others went the other direction. Apparently, it turns out, at least in your case, they are actually adding the new requirements onto the existing cases.

The A2D is not random. Myself and greeneclipse both got AMV in the footer. It may be the reviewer's initials or employee code or something. I sent in my RFE reply using A2D when it should have been AMV, so we still have to see how they handle that.

For the final form and instructions, I'm putting AZX down there as a nonsense code to force them to lookup the correct code, if they look at it at all.

Damm, ok, so do you reckon i should put a random code or i was thinking just remove it entirely, its probably doesn't matter you know... well, maybe it does..

I wonder if there is a way of finding out this by calling the operator and asking.. not sure they'll give that info out but....hmmm

Let us know anything you find out or what you actually do. I'd like to make this shortcut as safe and efficient as possible, and therefore it is critical that I know what people actually are doing and how it works out for them. In any case, I'm sure the documents will make it to your file and reviewer, the issue only is if there will be a delay (beyond that normally incurred in waiting for the actual RFE checklist) caused by using it.

BTW - trailmix actually sent his RFE in without the official coverletter just before I made this document, and they did post his response correctly to the case in just 3 days, though the IVR message never appeared.

Ok, i'm going to post it all out tommorrow am, i'm going to remove the A2D and just leave the case number and date. I'll report on what happens next. I'm sure the A2D or AVM etc does have some relavance to peoples cases, but i think everything should be ok, plus i have to send in all original copies along with it. IF i was to be given another RFE because of that code i couldn't submit my originals again. Part of me thinks we may be acting over cautious, and i think Trailmix's outcome gives us hope...

Because i've found out pretty quick i'm gonna give this a go and see what happens.
