Hey guys,

while we do not have April yet I am already opening htis topic now since I will send my AOS package probably in the first week of April. I have just collected my paperwork. A few things are still missing but hopefully that will get done soon too.

So, who else will join me ????

I'm just waiting for the vaccination supplement to come back from that doc in Texas, then I'll send off the AOS. It took so long cuz we had to wait for the current tax return.

Oops, I made another thread about this because I didn't see yours! Let's post in here, though, since you were first :).

We mailed ours off on the 30th and it should be there tomorrow. We're anticipating the possibility of an RFE since we:

1. Did not send the I-863 form, just the DS3025 vaccination sheet he received at his U.K. medical. We've had a great deal of drama with the whole two civil surgeons in the area. We're ordering transcripts from Dr. Arnold in TX just to be safe, and we'll have it on hand in case they request it.

2. Did not have a tuberculosis test done, just the chest X-Ray in London.

3. Did not include 2008 tax information since the cosponsor hadn't yet filed her taxes and I don't work. Since the tax year isn't over yet, we figured we'd be fine sending 2007, 2006 and 2005.

4. We just sent the tax transcripts for the past 3 years and didn't include any W2s or copies of federal returns. Again, not sure if this will be an issue but you never know with USCIS!

At this point though, what difference does an RFE really make? The EAD application is complete, and that's the main concern at this point.

Can't wait to see what other familiar faces are filing!

We'll be sending ours in too! Hopefully! We got married in February so we're a little behind, but once 2008 taxes are done, our forms will be in!

We had a bit of a mess with the taxes since we live in DC, but Hubby works in VA and MD. But they just want the federal return so it's not that bad. We requested the returns for the other years from the IRS by simply makin a phone call, the W2's and such came a few days later in the mail.

My stuff from Dr. Arnold in Texas came back today after I sent it only 9 days ago, I'm glad that went so well.

Looks like I'm sending my AOS tomorrow :)

@Terri & Seb: I didn't get a TB Skin Test done either. I had my medical in Frankfurt, Germany in December and they only took a chest xray. If they want anything else from me, they can send me an RFE. I was much more afraid to get an RFE during the K1 process, becuz it actually holds up your process, but now I'm here and with my man, I could care less

Question: I came here on Jan 17th, we got married on the 31st, my status expires April 17th. Does anybody know if I could experience any trouble because I'm sending in the AOS so late? I hope to get NOA 1 before the 17th if I send it tomorrow, but just to be on the safe side. Anybody?

I'm just looking at the package again and I still don't know what address to put on the money order. I know 'pay to' has to be Department of Homeland Security, but the address, should it be the lockbox one?

Ok, wait!! I need your help!

I just went through the entire package and thought I had everything and I could send it off today but then I read about this thing with the doc from texas and the vaccination supplement. What is that all about??? I mean, in the instructions I did not read anything about sending the supplement to Texas. It just said to include it, right? I am confused.

Ok, I think we just send it all in to get the EAD application going.

If we get an RFE for the vaccination supplement, then I can still get a copy from that doctor Arnold in Texas (why him?? Is he the only one? Do I have to go there or is it enough to send it in? Copy or original?).

Well the AOS instuctions say that you, as a K1, don't have to do a new (full) medical, just the vaccinations have to be transcribed onto another form called I-693. The doctor in Texas is not the only that does it, any USCIS approved Civil Surgeon does it, but sometimes they wanna tell you that you need another full medical which of course makes them a lil richer lol. Also, sometimes they ask for ridiculous high prices for only transcribing those vaccinations. So Dr. Arnold in Texas does not only do it for only 30$ but also by mail. You call them, leave a message with your name and your number, they call you back, tell you what to do and you send the stuff they request there. They will mail you back a sealed envelope with the supplement and a copy for your records within a week. If you wanna do that and need more info, just write me an email, or a private message.

Liebe Grüße

Thanks, Chibby!!

Nevertheless we sent of my AOS package today to get the ball rolling ;-)

I really just want to get the EAD asap. The rest could be delayed by a few weeks now that I am here lol.

So we basically count on a RFE for having sent just the vacination supplement but it seems some people are lucky and get by by doing this. We will see. If not, I will contact Dr. Arnold. :)

I send my vaccination supplement March 30, 2009 and received it yesterday (April 4, 2009)

Like Chibby said most civil surgeon tell you need another full medical and high prices for the transcribing the vaccination. I tried to call civil surgeon near us but I end up sending my vaccination supplement to Dr. Arnold.

Just a little note about Dr. Arnold-

Be sure you call the office before sending your stuff there. They have their own little set of guidelines of things they want you to mail in, such as a little letter with all of your information on it and a completely blank I693 with just a signature on the last page (they put in the rest of the info). So don't just mail things with a check without contacting them first!

Now that we're all married- how about some wedding stories or pictures while we wait? :)
