I need advice on getting a Delta flight from Atlanta to Lagos, Nigeria. I do not like stop over in Europe. I need the CHEAPEST website/agency/etc... that can atleast give me the delta flight from Atlanta to Lagos that can be under $1000 including taxes. I know if I was going to purchase it directly through the airline for November, I would get it around $1300 plus tax which will end up around $1400.

I have not taken Delta to Nigeria before, any advice on how the airline is like. I just love the direct flight from America to Nigeria, even being a few hundred dollars more than a few other airlines but with less tax.

I don't know that you are going to find a flight under $1000. You may have a slight chance.

It was in the paper today that Northwest/KLM are raising their international fares. All the airlines are going up. By Nov the proces will probably be closer to 2000 for a cheap ticket.

Did you check on the taxes and fees? I think the estimate of $100 is low. On one flight for me the taxes and fees were $581. I think you'll probably pay between $1600 and $2100.

I told Delta for the first time to Nigeria last month, the flight was good better than the KLM own to me. The direct flight also i love. I think the price will depend on the season you want to travel. I paid $1287 plus tax when i travelled last month. Check around if you can get it cheaper from other places and also check the airline. I got my ticket directly from delta but you can also get it cheaper elsewhere. Best of luck in your search.

Hello,

I am taking Delta at the end of May. I bought my ticket from delta themselves as I could not find it cheaper elsewhere. I am paying a total of $1359.30 for a round trip.

Good luck,

Deb

If you are connected with a Church or an NGO, I may be able to put you in touch with an agent who only books for people doing benevolent work. PM if you need more information

Hi ~ I am new to this site. My fiance' is from Nigeria also. I am a travel agent and if November is when you are going it looks like you could go Atlanta / Amsterdam / Lagos roundtrip for $1267.00 total (this includes taxes) but those direct Delta flights are only $1401.30 (including taxes) ~ not even $150 more, I think it's totally worth it to go direct! Since you didn't have definite dates on when you are going I just put a departure date of November 1st and return of November 22. Just wanted you to know what dates I had checked for the prices I came up with. Good luck and if you need any help ~ please don't hesitate to contact me. I plan on going to Nigeria in September and the best price I can come up with so far is $1420.00 but I am in Spokane Washington and will have to change plance TWICE before I arrive! I am thinking I should fly to Atlanta and take those direct flights ... :)

Take care and feel free to contact me if you'd like ....

Erica
